The original icemaker in my refrigerator froze every cube of ice completely. This replacement icemaker does not.When this icemaker ejects the ice cubes into the storage bin, many of the cubes are not yet completely frozen. The remaining water forms a large block of ice in the bottom of the storage bin making even the "good" cubes unusable.I will replace have to replace it.

I ordered this and got it the next day.........My old icemaker was Not working......Its very easy to pull out the old one and replace it with this one..."However" i had to swap the ends of the cable wires that plug in to the refrigerator wires.....the end of the new cable was way way to large and i wanted a new resistor thats in the new cable i cut the wires and soldered them to the original connector and used heat shrink on the soldered connections....so far Sooooooooooo GOOD.

Easy enough to install and mostly worked for the first six months, although it would not eject ice cubes consistently. Cubes would get hung up (not fall into bucket) and would stop the ice maker from working. After roughly six months it has quit making ice at all despite pulling out, cleaning / defrosting and reinstalling. Disappointed.Update: Once notified, seller issued a full refund under the warrantee. I wasn't able to leave a rating or feedback for the seller (Edgewater Parts), probably because it has been six months since my purchase, but if I could I would give them 5 stars for their prompt response and refund. Regardless of my disappointment in the icemaker, I would purchase from them again based on the fact that they handle issues like this quickly and without any hassle.

Our ice maker broke, so we ordered this to replace it. It was incredibly simple to replace, just unplugged the fridge, unscrew the old one, attach power clip to new icemaker, screw in, done.This ice maker also makes a lot of ice very quickly compared to our old one, and is very quiet. Would recommend this product.

So this one fit great in my fridge and has been dutifully cranking out ice for the past 7 months.HOWEVER, the lever/switch that is supposed to detect when the ice level is high enough seems defective. It doesn't trigger unless it's completely at the top of its limit.Practically speaking, this means that the ice in our bin will back up onto the top of the icemaker, interfere with it pushing out new ice cubes, freeze the whole mess solid and then water will pour out into the ice bin.The lever should trigger as 'off' when it is HALFWAY up, not ALL THE WAY up.
