Easy to install. Wife installed on kenmore elite front loader and has been working perfectly no more door code. Took less then 20 minutes to install and put everything together. Worth the price for the frustration of the door code error.

I couldn't request a repair on my old LG washing machine as it was too old to be eligible for repairs. The machine was displaying the de2 error code, indicating that the machine wasn't locking properly so it wouldn't start the wash cycle. I just replaced the door lock with this new one and the machine started working again. I'd definitely recommend trying this part out over buying the part directly from LG, as it is only about half the price. It also was relatively easy to install.

I have an LG Signature Washer/Dryer Combo LUWM101HWA. In the photos the assembly with the yellow label is the OEM LG part. The gray assembly is this product.The assembly will lock the door and unlock it normally, but it does not have a spring to "push" the door a little bit ajar so you can open it. It's possible mine may be faulty but considering the model number of the washer is not listed, it's possible this part does not have that "spring" and this is the intended behavior. The way I open it is to use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the door open.The reason I bought this part is because the OEM part is on backorder and I got the "de2" error which means the door lock assembly is faulty. The door lock was doing the "click- click" sound 3 times in a row, and then throwing up the de2 error. I need to wash clothes so after I found the part number to this washer, I quickly saw it was on backorder/OOS. I then scrambled to find something that may work and that I could get quickly, so I found this part. Ordered it yesterday and it arrive today.So until the oem part gets back in stock, I will use this to get me by.The OEM part number for the LG Signature LUWM101HWA is EBF63014603. Maybe this will be helpful for someone else who may have this model and need to find this part.

Once you get access by removing the front seal and peel it back into the tub, it took less than ten minutes to take the old part out and plug this new one in and secure it in place. Worked great and I had a load in as soon as the gasket was back in place. I highly recommend purchasing the special pliers for removing the spring-loaded wire to free the gasket. Trust me, it will save you hours.
