Does not work on an Ludwig Atlas hi-hat stand. It is a well made piece with 7m threads...I just discovered I needed 6m threads so it's not a universal fit. I'm not returning it and will find another use for it.

The rod on the left is the original DW3000 HiHat rod. The rod on the right is what I ordered, and the threads will not fit in the DW3000.

Un poco corta para la altura a la que uso mi tarola, pero fue la única que encontré que fuese compatible con el atril de Roland.

La varilla que viene con el atril es muy larga y solía chocar con ella al tocar el splash que tengo a mi izquierda, cosa que ya no sucede con ésta nueva varilla más corta, además de que ya no me estorba la vista de las partituras. Bien hecho dw.

Love this item. The current rod I have with my Pearl hi hat is almost twice as long as this one and now with the 15 inch rod there is not much room at all between my clutch and the top of the rod.

Great product! Like a lot of drummers, the extra long pole that comes standard on most hi-hat stands drives me nuts. But DW came up with a great solution with this shorter pole. It fits my PDP stand perfectly. It is long enough to still have my hats opened wide if I choose, and the pole is only sticking up over my clutch about 1/8". It is a 7mm pole, so make sure that your stand can handle that before you order. But yeah man, this is a great addition to my drum set. Plus I don't have to break out the hacksaw and file to shorten my old one. Excelent buy!

dw figured out exactly the right length for a shorter hi hat rod,; not too short to fit the clutch and not too long to get in the way of a cymbal or drum hardware case. I got one to make room under my 15" crash over the hats, which is now exactly where I want it to be. Even my Tama clutch (STFC7 sizzle touch drop clutch), which is larger than most, fits on the rod with enough leftover to adjust the space between cymbals by disengaging the clutch and moving the footboard down. A perfect product.

A lot of mid and low end HH stands use a 6mm rod/thread. This is a 7mm Rod and thread,be sure to put some calipers on you stand to make sure this will work before purchase.Does not fit Yamaha. It is however what they say it is and I made it work with a few adjustments.You may not have the tools or supplies I have. I wouldn't try unless it is feasible for you.

I bought this to replace the pull rod of my DW 5000 hihat stand which was long. I've always had to move my other cymbals in a way the my sticks won't accidentally hit the rod that's sticking out several inches up my hihats! This is only 15" long and when connected to my stand, it only has about 2" out of the top. This enables me to place something above or behind my hihats without hitting it. Now my 8" splash is conveniently on top of my hihat or I can place a small tom! It may be too short for some people so please buy according to your needs. For my application, this is perfect!Not really a way to verify that it is a genuine DW part except with the package but I know generally that DW parts only fit with a DW. The threads are a perfect match to my original part. I don't have a PDP stand so I can only go with other people's review that it doesn't fit a PDP. But if you have a DW, I assume it will fit even if you have a 3000, 5000, or a 9000 series. In my case, I can confirm a perfect fit for DW 5000 series 2 leg hihat stand.
