From bait casters such as the Tranx and Lexa to conventional setups like the Trinidad's the super clamps fits them all. The super clamp can be used if you're pulling on local yellowtail to 100lb tuna offshore the super clamp has the holding power to make sure your reel won't budge during those long battles. Each component of the DFP Clamp is precision CNC machined out of aircraft grade billet 6061 aluminum making the single frame design strong and sturdy. The slots allow the post to slide up and down allowing the clamp to fit on a variety of reel and rod combos. New Slideloc technology provides two undercuts that allow for an easier install. All components contain 3D machined surfaces that allow for more contact on the reel foots and rods providing stronger clamping force. The anodized finished provides resistance to wear and give it an amazing look. Laser etched logo on the clamp to add the final touch to the DFP Clamp.

Was having issues finding a clamp for Shimano charter special 2000, was advised to try this by somebody on a forum my first impression is that it's an extremely versatile clamp that is very well made it fit perfectly with the charter special 2000 and 8 ft sabre jigstick, even despite that Jig sticks bigger deckhand style handle.Would be cool if it came with a trigger style back half, however it was easy enough to find an aftermarket trigger attachment, with the main clamp from dfp and the aftermarket trigger plan, I can see this rod being a delight to use all day, thanks DFP!

I use it for my 9' Heavy teramar inshore w/ deckhand grip paired with a shimano torium 20. Mostly use the combo on the pier/surf/jetty but also on the boat when I need an extra rod. The clamp holds my reel in place very securely and it feels good on my hands.

Perfect for keeping my Diawa Lexa 400 secured to my Phenix Black Diamond deckhand rod. Stayed strong through 4 days fishing Cedros Island Mexico chasing and fighting Yellow Tails up to 35lbs. Threw Tady 45s and similar sized surface irons and baits all day. Screws never loosened, reel never felt loose, and I didn’t have to risk damaging my rod by having to over tighten. I can’t speak for other clamps cause these are the first I bought in years and now I only would use this set up for any of my deckhand rods.

Clamp worked great to put a Daiwa Lexa 400 on a deckhand style rod. Clamp size Depends on rod diameter. I needed a small for one rod and a large for another. Might as well buy both to cover your bases. Clamps look good and the build quality is very nice. I prefer the look of these to the Tiburon. These don't stick out. They're compact and rounded/smoothed nicely.
