Fits well, has multiple controls, and an additional aa battery slot. Perfect for my D7000.

For the money, this is a very well built battery grip. I've used other brands in the past including proprietary Nikon grips, and although this grip cannot fairly compete with the $300 magnesium alloy Nikon version, it is still very good and well built. The reason why I don't use a Nikon grip with this particular camera is that it is very overpriced, it's just a battery pack at the end of the day and still costs more than a used D7000 in mint condition (one has to be careful buying used Nikon MB-D11 grips as many are fakes and of much lesser quality than this DSTE). Getting back to this grip, other reviewers have mentioned that the infrared remote doesn't work; it works perfectly on my copy. The rubber on the grip is identical to the camera's and the fit is very firm and flush with no wobble anywhere (something that does happen with some original Nikon MB-D11 grips). The grip adds balance and better ergonomics to the camera when using larger lenses and flash units, though I prefer the grip in place at all times. The only thing preventing me from giving the grip 5 stars is that the aperture dial works in the opposite direction to that of the camera, something I can live with, but still a little annoying as this is a fairly simple electrical circuit to make and should match the camera (the shutter dial is perfect). But, like I said, for a $46 grip vs a $300 Nikon, it represents excellent value. I'll update the review after a few months of using the grip, but so far I'm very impressed with it.

If you want that pro camera feel without spending that extra money this is it. Built solid, no wiggle at all, all functions work, connects easily and ergonomic feels pretty good. Picked up an older d7000 for a great deal and having a battery grip is a must.

Well made and works fantastic. Buttons may not be full on Nikon standard but for the price it is a steal. Very pleased.

I generally shy away from anything non-Nikon, but this was a really wise exception to the rule. It fit seamlessly onto my D7000 and 500 or so shots in, its functioning flawlessly. Great product, great service, great purchase.

ALL functions working which is more than what I would say about the last after market battery grip!

If you’re Nikon DSLR accepts a battery grip you need to get one. It really improves the ergonomics and balance. Mine was shipped directly from China and I got it early. 10 days from China is just fine with me. I have the original Nikon battery grip on my D300 and honestly I can’t tell the difference. It functions flawlessly just like the original. Zero complaints. If you are on the fence buy with confidence. This thing rocks... it is well worthy of my beloved Nikon bodies..

The quality of this battery grip far exceeds the price point. Doubling the battery capacity, adding the ability to use AA batteries, AND adding an ergonomic control set for portrait photos (and a remote!) for the price is a no-brainer.
