The Goldenrod Yellow Pro switches are a solid choice if you are looking for a smooth, medium-weight linear switch that is pre-lubed and ready to use right out of the box. These switches have a 55gf actuation force, which puts them in a comfortable middle ground. They are not too light like some speed switches, but also not as heavy as something like a Gateron Black or an Ink Black. This makes them a good option if you want a balance between fast keystrokes and some resistance to avoid accidental key presses. Since they come pre-lubed, the overall feel is very smooth with minimal scratchiness, which is a big plus. Some stock switches can feel rough until they are manually lubed, but these feel refined from the start, making them a great plug-and-play option. The bottom-out is soft yet satisfying, and the sound is on the deeper side compared to standard Gateron Yellows. However, the exact sound profile will depend on your keyboard case, plate, and keycaps. If you are using a gasket-mounted board or a case with good sound dampening, you can expect a more muted and thocky sound, whereas on a tray-mounted board, they might sound a bit louder and crisper. The 5-pin design ensures they sit securely on PCBs that support 5-pin switches, meaning they are great for hot-swappable keyboards. If you are using a keyboard that only supports 3-pin switches, you will need to clip the extra pins off, but that is a quick and easy modification. The build quality of these switches feels solid, and they seem to be durable enough for long-term use. If you are considering these switches but are unsure if they are the right fit, you might want to look at some alternatives. If you like the 55gf weight but want a slightly deeper sound, Gateron Oil Kings are a great option. If you want something with a bit more cushion on the bottom-out, WS Morandis have a softer, bouncier feel. If you prefer a lighter linear switch, Gateron Milky Yellow Pro or KTT Kang Whites might be a better fit since they have a lower actuation force. Overall, the switches are a great option for anyone looking for a smooth, pre-lubed linear switch with a medium weight. They feel refined out of the box, making them a good choice for anyone who does not want to spend time lubing their switches manually. While they are not the absolute deepest-sounding switches out there, they offer a great balance of smoothness, comfort, and usability even the the RGB bright lights do not go through they are still bright enough to see. It's a good value for what you get. If you want a no-fuss linear switch that performs well in both typing and gaming, these are definitely worth considering.

Almost the best switches ever. These are the only linear switches I'll buy, but they almost completely block out your LEDs. Not sure why they decided to make them that way because that's simply the black housing. I don't really mind the lights, but I'd buy a shine through version if they made one.

I have tried more switches than I care to admit and these are it. Incredibly smooth from the factory and do not require any lubing at all, just pop them in and you are good to go! They have the nice deep thocky sound I was looking for as well.I was a black ink v2 user before this and since I switched to these, I haven’t looked back. I know they are in the expensive side, but they are definitely worth it in my opinion.Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Im not sure if theres other keyboard enthusiasts shopping for switches on Amazon but you can rest assured these are legit. The box says they are from Kutethy which is indeed an authorized distributor of gateron products/switches in china. I would normally order direct from gateron themselves but OilKings are constantly out of stock. The switches themselves are great and the factory pre-lube is more than good enough to use out of the box. There are tons of reviews on these switches already on the internet and I can safely say they are accurate. If you're looking for a thocky sound out of your keyboard these switches combined with a PE foam mod and the tape mod or case foam will produce that even on an integrated plate chasis.Get these if you want smooth switches with deep sounds that you dont have to lube.

love these switches.. only a few of them seemed a little less lubed than the others. difficult to say if it's worth the cost. they are great, but they are pricey.

I've had these for a while waiting for a custom kit to arrive so I could install them. The wait was definitely worth it as they are outstanding. They are a little heavier than some other linear switches but don't necessarily feel that way due to how smooth they are. The bottom out simply sounds astounding, very deep, very "thocky."I took a few apart to check the factory lube job and it was excellent. I didn't have to lube a single switch and not an single one was scratchy.Due to the housing I'm not sure these would be the best for a board in which you want great RGB performance. The board I put them in lacks RGB completely but between the board and how it sounds paired with these switches it became my new #1 immediately. Truly a joy to both type on and to hear. Not the cheapest switches but well worth the price! Will definitely purchase again.

Arrived in a standard Gateron box, sealed and brand new. Worked as expected; of the ones I've used there's no duds.
