Coating comes off within hours of playing. Strings sounded flat and dead. Second set of DR strings i've purchased and they are total garbage. DR used to be my go-to, no more.

These strings are cool if you’re strictly going for looks. How they looked before I played them for the first time was the best part. One 30 minute session and the coding was coming off the strings where you pick them. The high E string was dead out of the box. If you’re looking for a quality string and good tone that lasts, look elsewhere.

Strings are great easy to put on but the coating does come off after a few hours of play especially with sliding and hammer ons

Well they "LööK" Really Nice! I put them on an hour or so ago and the "Black" is already flaking off creating extremely rough spots. As for the sound, they kinda sound dead already, however I do have them on my Dobro , or Deaux Breaux for my fellow Cajuns, and that could be the sound quality issue. I will be putting some on another 6 string non-resonator to see if there's much of a difference. Besides, the black strings look pretty Frikkin kewl!!

Pros - Nice bright sound, they look absolutely amazing, and they play so easy.Cons - I usually play a big name brand that will last longer than these, however, the price difference is worth it.

I really love the sound of these! My hellcat looks sharp and sexy with these black strings. They are coated so obviously it is going to come off a bit if you are a little heavy at playing. The strings I usually use are lighter, but these are probably what I should be using. I haven’t busted a single one yet!!

These are great strings for someone use to light gauge. Im a medium string player and these are too bendy for my liking. Love the tone tho. Hoping that there is a heavy gauge so i can see if they match the medium.
