About Us
DJANGO is a USA small business designing modern, durable, and stylish dog accessories and apparel. DJANGO was launched by Steph and Mike, a couple madly in love with their dog, Django. In the past decade the family has lived in NYC, the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, and Philadelphia. They've explored British Columbia, camped under the stars in Lake Tahoe, and hiked Joshua Tree National Park. Django has peed on every cactus in Mt. Zion National Park, taken selfies at the Grand Canyon, watched the sunset in Santa Fe, and sniffed butts in Times Square. After their wedding, Django escorted his parents on their honeymoon to France and Italy (he insisted on coming!). Most recently, Django helped welcome two baby brothers into the family. A life of travel and adventure has inspired an original line of high quality, functional, and weather-resistant dog gear. My little dog is a dachshund mix, so it's a bit hard to find a coat that fits her long body. The Django design works really well, and I like the way the velcro strap fastens on top. She weighs 12 lb and wears a small.

This Django raincoat fit my dachshund perfectly, as most coats are either too short but chest is good or too long and chest doesn’t fit. The sizing for this is perfect for a tweenie or standard dachshund. It’s waterproof and windproof and on a cold day, you have enough room to add a sweater underneath. Well made and the quality is good. Has foot straps to keep the coat on better. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

This is very nicely made and we will keep it for our summer rains(hopefully?), but I will add a tab on the inside of the cape to secure the wrap around girth closure to the cape -- the elastic for the legs is very uncomfortable for our Buddy.

We have Jack-Whippet. So short legs like a jack Russel and long slender body like a whippet. This raincoat fits perfectly for our dog.Great design that is easy to put on and the adjustment range on the waist straps are great for a lean dog like ours. The rear elastic is easy to use and holds the rear section of the rain coat perfectly.

This jacket fit my Toffee perfectly .. it was easy and quick To put on and she didn’t seem to mind it being on which was nice . It kept the light rain off her back and kept her belly dry in the grass.. Plus she looks adorable wearing it.. The Velcro is adjustable and she seemed very comfortable with it on. I highly recommend if you have a Dachshund and you want their whole back covered .I only buy Django now as it’s a waste of time trying to get other brands to fit her… May cost a little more but you get what you pay for and worth every penny ..

My review of the Django city slicker, as well as for the company itself, starts with the story of Goldilocks and the three wiener dogs (or something like that....)My soul mate Steve (who happens to be a long haired wiener dog that we adopted on discount day at the shelter despite the fact that cowlicks cover 125% of his body) is apparently even more oddly shaped than your average wiener dog. After ordering and subsequently rejecting at least 10 other canine clothing options, we finally found Django.The Django city slicker is neither too heavy nor too thin, not too long or too short. It covers my beloved’s low hanging....chest (what? This is a PG-13 review) and it has successfully passed the “won’t get peed on” test.We weren’t really sure about sizing initially, so the owner of Django was kind enough to send multiple sizes to help us figure out what size was best. Thanks Django...amazing customer service right there!While Steve hates this coat with every fiber of his being and has tried on numerous occasions to forcefully remove it from his body, I as his mom /soul mate cannot express how much I appreciate being able to go on a simple winter walk without a salty / wet / muddy chest requiring a bath. (Get your mind out of the gutter, this is about Steve, an innocent and absurdly adorable miniature dachshund who is entirely committed to his nudist lifestyle.)If you’re still reading this entirely truthful yet cheeky review, here is your takeaway: just buy this dog coat. The product is amazing, the owner is amazing, and even if your pup hates it, it is perfect and you’ll force them to wear it because that is what good parents do. If you don’t have teenagers, maybe this will give you a taste of what that feels like. And if you believe that, maybe you’ll also believe that said teenagers will take said pup for a walk in their fabulous new Django city slicker.

I was after a light weight shower proof jacket as my dog (a longer than usual Maltese Shitzu) has a good warm fur coating of his own for when it is cold (so I don't need the jacket for warmth). I was finding it harder to get the length in an average jacket so went with the "large" size. as it turned out, its a little long in the length for my dog and I could have gone just one size lower. But I'm impressed with the quality and fit of the jacket. My dog has short stumpy legs, but the body length of a at least a medium dog, so I wanted a very good upper chest cover for when he wades through 6 inch wet grass in the early mornings (when he gets absolutely drenched because of its short legs). I also wanted a jacket that was easy to put on (no trying to get his legs in leg holes, head through hole etc), as well as one that would stay in place when he runs and rolls. This jacket is excellent for that! And so easy to wipe clean. If you want a good coverage jacket that is super easy to put on and off, and is very light weight then this jacket is it. If like me you have a long haired dog, so don't need the added warmth, but want protection from the wet, then this is perfect. If you have a short haired dog and want a jacket for wet days (but not particularly) cold), then this would be perfect as well.

Everything about this jacket is perfect for Cole. He puts it on easier than the little harness we had, but he isn't crazy about the loops around his legs by his bum. They hold the jacket in place, but he seems a bit uncomfortable in them. any way to loosen those a little?Other than that, eh is as cute as a bug in it!

This jacket is great. It's constructed differently than most jackets, with a center panel that attaches to the ties at the waist. This keeps the dog's neck, chest, and belly covered--and thus clean when out in bad weather. I have a dachshund, and this is particularly helpful, as low riding dogs pick up just about everything they come near. For that reason alone, it's a great jacket; but the materials used are also excellent--very high quality--including a small sliver strip running the length of each side that catches the light (hence useful in the dark). The main (outer) material is lightweight yet also sturdy. In fact, one of the things I liked best about this jacket was how it did so much--covering, reflecting, repelling (rain/snow)--and yet it's very light weight. Finally, I can't say enough about the owner, Stephanie. She was incredibly helpful when I was unsure about sizing for my dog, and she checked in with me after I received it, but didn't pester me to leave a review. The shop has great, well designed products, and I'll definitely be back again.
