This brake caliper is a nice cable controller brake caliper that is very well built and work well. The pull tension is good and the brake pads retract from the disk when released. I'm using this unit on a wire coil winding machine to provide tension to the feed spool and I can easily adjust the drag or tension on the wire from light to heavy depending the coil I winding. The unit can easily provide full lock up of the feed spool when needed and the adjustment is very smooth and stays where I set it with the tension meter.
