This year, we will be heating our swimming pool. I ordered this thermometer so that I could conveniently monitor the water temp from the comfort of our home. The thermometer itself is solar powered so I don't have to worry about babysitting batteries, and the wireless receiver easily mounts to my breezeway wall. Excellent product - five stars!

Good range. The "Digital Thermometer, Wireless Solar Pool Thermometer" arrives WITHOUT batteries. You provide two AAA batteries and two AA batteries. If you want actual solar charging, you will need to provide two AA rechargeable batteries. The manual does not say what technology those rechargeable batteries need to be.Setup is easy: Unscrew the probe, set the switches for channel and battery type, close and toss in the pool. The receiver auto selects when you power the units up.

Works great and floats nicely. The thermometer provides accurate water temperature readings both at the unit and on the base station, which also displays indoor temperature and humidity. Setup was easy, and the signal range is solid. At this price, it's a great option for monitoring pool temps conveniently.

I've had the opportunity to review a lot of these swimming pool thermometers, and this one seems to be a very good quality. It has the ability to read the temperature of the water from both at the unit itself and at the base station. The base station also reads the indoor temperature and humidity at the same time that it reads the pool temperature. At the time of the review it was a good price point too.
