Size not to spec, don't fit holders, AND Nitwits! They put a flat on both sides, not just the anode side!! One must ohm them before you can use them.

Operating on 5VDC and a 330Ω and a ¼ watt resistor in series worked well. Nice and bright and is visible from straight on as well as to the side.

Building lamps using LED's, switches, battery holders, and 3D printed objects has become a hobby for me.These LED's shine almost as brightly as a standard 5mm LED in my experience, so for my purpose, they work great for adding a nice ambient glow to a area of a lamp where I may not want a focused beam from a 5mm LED.For example, I may 3D print a hollow animal statue on a pedestal. I'll use a few 5mm LED's inside certain areas of the animal, and use these 10 mm LED's in the pedestal so the whole object lights up.
