This pump appears to be the exact same model as the one that was installed by Mastercool. Part number is different but it’s the same, perfect fit! Old pump didn’t have enough pressure to move water up to the pads.

Master Cool pump failure. One out and new pump in, five minute project. Better than original water circulation!

It has been working without problem on my cooler for a couple weeks. We'll see what results a couple seasons yields. This unit comes with a standard 3-prong 120v male plug pigtail which apparently is plug-and-play for some coolers, but not mine. I had to crimp some spade connectors onto my old cooler's electrical supply cord and onto this ones' cord as well, then insulate these connections. It also didn't quite fit the mounting bracket in my cooler, but adapted easily enough. This is par for the course when working with old equipment, but good to be aware of. It did fit the old filter basket which the instructions recommend but doesn't come with the new pump. My old cooler is a Marquis. This pump has a stainless shaft which is a plus. My old pump shaft rusted severely and was the reason it failed.

This has been the worst swamp cooler pump I have purchased. usually I get two years or more out of a pump, but this one did not even last a month installed (and actually only probably 10-days of use). Today we noticed a foul burning smell and quickly discovered it coming from our swamp cooler vents. I thought for sure the fan motor had gone but low and behold it was this cheap worthless pump. STAY AWAY
