My hot tub is about 2 years old and the motor was a little loud and bothering my neighbors so I bought this in hopes of quieting it down a little. (My neighbors complained about it yet they never mentioned my A/C compressor which is louder. Humans!)It was nicely-packed in a thick box, double boxed and a heavy, soft Styrofoam holder. These are super-easy to install so you should be able to do it yourself, saving hundreds. They basically plug and play but you'll need a Strap Wrench like the one in the pic I added. Here's what worked for me.1. Remove outer hot tub panels to expose the motor, as you see in my photo.2. Drain the hot tub, remove power and get some towels to catch whatever water exits the motor and "Wet end" where the water pump is.3. Use the strap wrench to loosen the main water pipes (2). Catch the water. You don't want it pooling in the bottom of the hot tub basin.4. Remove grounding wire and the power connector cover and (Important) take a pic of where the wire leads go. You'll need it to reconnect them. Disconnect the power leads.5. Remove the 4 bolts which hold it in place and lift the motor out. The bolts flop around in rubber fittings so you'll have an easy time putting it back into place.6. Plug in the power leads, feeding them through the included assemblage and plugging them EXACTLY as you took them out or it won't work. Reconnect the grounding wire. - The power cable should be long enough to reattach the power leads with the motor outside the hot tub so you're not leaning awkwardly inside the hot tub.7. Replace the motor where it goes and fasten the nuts back into place. (Easy)8. Use the Strap Wrench to tighten down the water pipe connectors and check everything over carefully to be sure it's done right.9. Refill the hot tub, power it up and enjoy nice hot tub soak with a quieter motor.Anyhow, there are lots of online videos to provide extra guidance, otherwise get a hot tub person to install your new pump if this isn't your thing.I have a fun time with these projects, plus; labor expenses are out of control lately.BTW: If you haven't done this before, try some "Ahh, some" hot tub cleaner. It's great. Totally cleaned out my hot tub pipes and smells fresh and clean like when it was new.

There are some other reviews that talk about the bracket placement. I had the same problem with my 2006 Bullfrog spa. I used a hammer and chisel and knocked the bracket off and re-positioned it to work with my hot tub (90 degree offset). Worked like a peach after that. Jets definitely seem stronger than original pump, but that may also be due to how old the original was.

Perfect replacement, and even seems a little quieter than the original. The wiring was exactly the same as my old pump which was a “Century”

We had a water leak in our spa from one of the hoses and we didn’t know that the pump was sitting in the puddle that was under the spa. This caused the pump to corrode so we had to purchase a new pump. It was super easy. Entered the pump serial number into Amazon search and it found a couple of options. Picked one and received it within two days. Installed and now we are back up and running. Whole process was super easy and fast.

Great price and a great fit. It was easy to wire in and the installation was simple enough. The motor is quieter than the OEM and it really pumps the water nicely.

I had to modify the pump in order to get it to fit my Jacuzzi. The welded-on mounting bracket was 90 degrees off of where I need it to be, and I ended up using a cold chisel to break the welds and just remove the bracket. But otherwise, it's working great once I figured out that little bit of field engineering. And the price of the pump was about 20% of what my local spa repair guy (AKA The Thief) wanted to do the same job. If you're good with tools and can figure out modifications like I described above, this is an excellent deal.
