I had stacked stone added to my Great Room. I asked the masons what drill bit company they recommended to hang a few picture, and without hesitation they said Diablo. I'm a technology person, not a mason. Diablo works great to punch through natural stone. They strongly suggested a hammer drill, not an impact drill.I did try my Porter Cable (non-impact) drill before buying an impact drill, and they were 100% right. I was able to get a Port Cable Hammer drill without batteries so I could save and use the batteries on my regular drill.Once again, you get what you pay for. I thought the impact drill and Diablo bits were worth the price.

I've only used the smallest bit. It worked very well in my rotary drill. I've found that once a small hole has been placed, it can easily be enlarged with larger bits. It's that first placement that's difficult, so I'm happy with the sharpness, sturdiness, material removal, and durability (drilled 6 holes with no detectable decrease in function). This is MUCH better than other rotary mortar drill bits I've usedI docked one star, however, because two things were problems for me and might be for others. First, these are hex bits. I didn't notice that, so that's on me, but be aware that if your hammer drill is SDS+, these will not work. They are hex bits. The upside of that is you can use them in a rotary drill (as I did), but it should be more clear that the drive style is hexThe second problem was opening the package. These come in what appears to be a nice, heavy-duty plastic case -- so far so good, potentially a nice touch. However and unfortunately, I had to destroy that nice case to access the drills because it was so heavily bound in wrappings that I could not remove (and I think I'm pretty good at removing wrappings). I tried a box cutter, knife, various types of pliers, scrapers, and cutters but could not get past these wrappings. Eventually, and sadly, I took out a compound metal cutter and destroyed this nice case so I could access the drill bits. FYI

This set seemed like a sensible alternative to buying just the one bit I needed for a project, as all my old masonry bits are shot. I have Diablo saw blades and respect the brand for quality. I made multiple holes in a masonry wall and the bit showed no signs of slowing down so the quality is there although unlike my Diablo saw blades which are made in Germany these bits are Chinese made. I am satisfied as long as they continue to knock the holes I need when I need them! The plastic case is a nice bonus for the price. I recommend them.

I have a home with adobe exterior walls and these bits go through them like a hot knife through butter. Overall best brand for concrete bits.

Drills are very high quality, the price is cheap for their durability. They are sharp enough to drill fast and the most important the sharpness last a lot. They look good in that red coat but who cares cause they are gonna get dirty fast

I know about this bit because I watched projectfarm. I never expected it to be this effective. I use a GSB-180 Li and I used the provided masonry bits of concrete and it constantly struggled. Around 2 mins for a hole. This could drill Concrete like butter and maybe 15-20s for a hole that is the length of the bit itself. I also tried it on tile and it cut through it and the concrete behind (In drill mode, not hammer) and it still sliced like butter. I dont see any visible scratches after either. Great work! Great product! 1000% reccommend.

I actually didn't know drillbits were supposed to be this effective, I always thought while using my dad's old drill bit set that you're supposed to wrestle the tool against the wall until you finally drill the whole before passing out from exhaustion only to realize the screw is either really hard to put in or spins into place. But not these, this Diablo Drillbit set is amazing, I have made about 50 holes in concrete so far and they still look good as new, compared to my old ones it drills like butter, just remember no need to force it, just let it spin and it will do the work for you, the value is the weight of these bits in gold, you can even get away with using a cheap hammer drill by upgrading them with these drill bit set and it will perform like the pros.
