Bought this set in Sep. 2018, and replaced my aging originals with these. In Feb. 2021, I started hearing a creaking noise when turning the steering wheel. The noise stopped after a couple days. I ordered OEM lower ball joints on Feb. 13. They are to arrive on Feb. 22. On Feb. 20, while driving on a smooth paved road, the left lower ball joint failed and my truck’s lower control arm fell to the ground. I was able to stop safely on the shoulder. My truck had to be towed. Here is the moral of this story. These may last you a couple years until something like this happens. I don’t go off-roading on my truck and it has not seen any abuse or rough driving. The truck is a daily driver in a mostly urban environment. In hindsight, despite assurances by the manufacturer of these items that they exceed OE quality standards, I should have spent the extra $$ to get OEM ball joints. Good thing I have ordered two OEM replacement units to do both sides. I plan on ordering and replacing the upper ball joints I that came from this company with the OEM as well as who knows what could happen. Live and learn.
