They do the job, but some pins are very hard to remove and some plates are scratched. I needed them in bulk and didn't want to pay a lot.

Remember that "rubbed bronze" looks 90-95% like black. It all depends on how you hold it to the light. These are rubbed bronze. Others complained that the ones they received looked used/beat up, etc. Well, just send them back, free with prime! My three boxes were all new.

Worth buying. I needed thirty of these: 3.5", 1/4" corners and I had trouble deciding which to buy in my price range. These turned out to be all steel and a nice thickness - the same thickness as what I replaced which were made in the USA brass hinges from home built in 1974. Many reviews for similar products stated concerns about missing screws or overly heavy packaging resulting in box tear upon arrival. Neither happened on this order. No forgotten screws and the package, though heavy, was perfect upon arrival.

I originally ordered another brand that got lost....and opted for these... expedient delivery...the hinge pin required a bit of effort to remove...but the hinges fit perfectly in place of the removed copper/gold hinges.Used hammer and dowl to remove the hinge pin, then oiled the pin for easy insert. Definitely a secure hinge, and solid for the price....no wiggle movement! Very happy! Did the installation with no assistance.Five doors had the hinges replaced!

Got these to replace old gold colored ones to use at the same time i was replacing all the doors. They fit great wt in the existing cut outs in the door jam.Minor complaints, but the pin is a bit hard to remove and i had to turn them over and use a punch and a hammer to remove it before installation. Also, be sure to lubricate them as they started to squeak not too long after install. However, some 3in1 oil fixed it right away and now they glide silently.They seem like they will hold up well over time but i have only been using them for probably 3-4 months.
