This 8" deburring wheel works great. It will take off mill scale and polish steel, and aluminum. I was quite surprised how well it worked for the price. I would buy this again.

This deburring wheel works better than I had expected. It's abrasion is less than even a fine wheel and similar in effect to a steel brush but a nicer surface. It has a nice feel to work with. My best tool purchase lately.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this, I thought maybe it would be soft and pliable, but it's quite firm to the touch. It works very well to smooth the edges of sheet metal and to create a " brushed" finish on metal surfaces, but to get an even finish will take practice. I was restoring an old vise that had significant rust, this wheel easily removed the rust and shined up the surface, but is too fine to remove any pits in the metal. When working with thin parts you do need to take care as it will remove material as well as rounding edges. I can see I'll get a good bit of use out of this wheel, I'm glad I bought it.

I am using this to clean up and smooth out older steel hand tools. It works well, very abrasive, so take care when your hands come close. On bare tool steel it can create sparks, so keep it away from flammable's. It is not balanced...at least not in my bench grinder. And it does wear down fairly quickly, but for the price it's a good deal.👍

I am very pleased with this polishing wheel. It feels like a really hard scotch-brite pad is the best way I can describe it. It polishes well, being 180 grit, you won't get a mirror finish, but you'll get a very nice workable finish for sure. It doesn't take long either. It will spark a little sometimes, but most of the time there's no sparks at all. It just scrubs the metal clean with a quickness. It isn't something you want to use to say, polish your gun parts or small engine parts where the tolerance is important. You need a soft buffing wheel for that kind of stuff. This does take some material off, so you have to be easy with it. It is great for deburring, removing rust, and giving a good shine. You can vary the pressure you use and get a good shiny polish, or dig in and it certainly has the potential to shape what you're polishing, as you would expect from 180 grit. It isn't like a hard wheel though, it's quite forgiving if you're easy with it. This one wheel can accomplish a lot in careful hands. If you ease up to real light pressure it gives a really nice polish that's kind of like a lightly brushed finish. That said, this is both a great start to a super high polish, or a finish on its own. I did a number of things in my garage, and I love the results. I added a picture of a couple of my hitch pins with a lot of surface rust. You can see just how nice of a job it does, and it took me less than five minutes to restore these hitch pins.It does have a little trouble getting into tight corners, which is to be expected. You'll see what I mean in the photo. This wheel wasn't perfectly true when I first spun it up. As it spins up there's a quick bit of vibration in just one spot of the rpm range. It was way better after using it on a couple things and using those parts to get the face of the wheel trued. When I shut off my grinder, there's a much longer time of pretty good vibration as it drops through that same rpm range.I suspect it's just because it's near impossible to get a material like this wheel 100% perfect through and through.Overall I love this wheel. It wears a good bit, but not enough to complain for the amount of work it will do before wearing out. I've never used a wheel like this, but I'll be using more for sure.
