About Smell and Cleaning
Our products come from the sea. You will smell seawater when you open the package. Sterilize the shells in boiling water for 5 minutes. After cooling, place in hermit crab tank.

I got these for my hermit crabs, they work great and there was alot of options. I had extra so i put a few in my tank for decorations, and i filled a jar with the rest for later use.

Perfect variety of sizes for any size crab. All arrived intact except for a few chips around the openings which they don't mind. I love the box for storage too.

I got this kit because it came with a lot of shells. Unfortunately, the majority of the shells are not useful for my hermit crabs, because they’re too small. There was still a decent amount of good sized shells, so I won’t be returning it. Maybe the smaller ones can be used for crafts or decor. I also like the tackle box it came in, so I’ll be using that for organizational purposes.

My hermit crabs changed into these shells immediately so for that this gets five stars. None of the shells were broken or damaged like in previous reviews and I boiled them too without any issues. My only complaint is that the plastic box they come in is hard to open so I broke the latch trying to open the lid but whatever the hermit crabs have new shells.

The shells are various shapes and I needed that for the life of my hermit crab in my reef tank. I put a few in for her to choose from in the morning and by that evening I watched her move shells. Very cool, and she loves them!

I had to send it back. The description said these would fit tiny to large crabs...tiny to small is what it should have said. Way too small for any large crab. Returning was easy but an update should be made to the description.
