It has to be plugged in to work it does not have a built-in battery. The fans are small but they put out a decent amount of air for their size. Each fan has three separate speeds that is adjustable via a button left or right of the white light button. The light is not very bright I didn't find it very useful. I like that the fans have an adjustable arm on them it makes it great for getting them exactly where you want them. I also like the mechanism they used to secure it underneath the headrest it works very well and I didn't need to adjust it just pop it in there and it stayed in place. Even having a couple shortcomings that it has I would still recommend it.

Item: Dealswin Car Fan for Backseat Kids, 2025 Upgraded Dual-Head Car Seat Fans with LED LightsThese little fans from Dealswin definitely push some air! I first plugged them in at home to test them and found I could feel a light breeze almost 20 ft away! They are a little noisy ( think high pitched drone ) at full speed but the air they push is amazing. Especially when you are in the car and the fans are only about 2 ft away ( which is what we use for with our rear-facing baby seat ). The mounting mechanism works great and was easy to install in the front and rear headrests of both a Rav4 and Bz4x. The light is quite useless but not the reason why we got this.Overall I am very happy with this fan setup and not bothered by the pitchiness of the noise as we rarely ever have to use it on full blast.

The fans a quite powerful and fairly silent even at high speed. I use them on the medium level 2 to circulate the air with my vehicle heat on as it makes the entire cabin less stuffy with less vehicle blower noise. The light is slightly stronger than a night light and very little difference between the 2 levels. I do like that you can control both fan speeds individually and the wide range direction of each one. The unit appears to be well built with 8 screws to hold it together as opposed to snapped or glued together. There is no annoying rattle where the strong spring clamps attach to the head rest because the clamp surface is ridged rubber. The flexible gooseneck arms adjust easily and they stay put.

What we love:Each fan has its own control —yes, there is no need to keep both fans one or at the same speed, you can control them separately. The chrome gives it a high end look (rather than looking cheap with a gray spray color, instead). The flexible arms are great and allow you to set these fans in different angles i.e. one towards the driver and one towards the back seat —or both fans towards the driver, if greedy. The clamps keep this fan in place —they are quite strong. Also, we have been running ours on a power bank to keep things looking neat and not having to run the cable across our vehicle.What we like:The included USB-C cable is quite long and should meet most people's needs.What we dislike:The light is very, very dim so it is rather useless. The flashlight on the average smartphone is much brighter than the light in this fan.What a prospect buyer should know:The flexible arms, while amazing, will move (slightly) whenever you go through bumps, so finding a good position for those flexible arms to somewhat "rest" will be your best friend in avoiding that from happening. No, the flexible arms are not weak, it is just gravity doing its thing.In conclusion, we have no reservations recommending this product. We like it so much that we are about to order another one.

My 3rd row has a hard time cooling down as there aren't enough vents back there.At the start of every spring, I reinstall my fan to make sure my kids back there are comfortable.And every year they ARGUE about the speed of the fan/direction because the one I have has 1 speed for both fans and the fans don't move freely.This solves so many arguments.Each side has it's own speed setting.The fans are moveable so you can direct them exactly at the direction you want them.When not in use, i have the fans tucked behind the seat like the photo.The cable is long enough to connect to my usb port in the 2nd row (I have to tuck the wires into the 2nd row middle seat).The light feature is nice too as they sometimes want the light back there but can't reach the button on the ceiling.

I got this fan for my son, who always seems to be too hot. I'm the opposite, and will run the heat on high in the car on colder days, which is too much for him. Even with the AC on during the warmer months he can get too hot. It's nice to have a strong breeze blowing on you when you're sweaty.These fans are strong for their size, and can be individually run on 3 different speed settings. I really like that their position can be shifted, even to the point where they can be turned around and pointed at the front passenger. The light isn't incredibly bright, but I got this for the fans.Attaching the get up to the passenger headrest was easy. The only thing I don't really like is the cord position. The included USB cord plugs into the back of the unit, so it's coming out towards the front seat. To plug it into the port in the back seating area, which is near the ground behind the center console, I need to immediately bend the cord backwards, which puts a big kink in it. The cord is about 6 feet long, giving plenty of options for where to plug it in. If you don't have USB ports, you'll need an adapter, or you'll need to pair this with a power bank. It doesn't run on a rechargeable battery, so it needs a power source.

A little disappointed that it didn't fit in the middle of the headset mount underneath the tablet but it fits perfectly fine on the driver and passenger side of the headset mount. The LED lights aren't very useful as they are not that bright compared to the car ceiling lights but the fan strength is powerful. It'll be great for the summer time. Wish there was a remote so you can control the settings from the front seats.
