I use this fan because I walk several miles. It has 3 speeds but I usually use the highest speed since I live in Florida! This fan works very well and cools me off…much more so than another neck fan I bought. It is bendable in the front so you can place it where you need it. The only thing that was bothersome is that the fan moves around when it’s on my neck but I found a solution….I tuck each fan under my tank top sleeve and it stays put! I am very happy with this personal neck fan!!

This device is something I literally use everyday. I had box fans stationed throughout my house, but would have to carry them around and plug them in in different places within rooms. With this, I can work in my workshop in the summer, and walk around to different machines and workbenches, etc, without having to move the box fan each time. I can use it in the kitchen without having to reposition the box fan as I walk around, I even use it to cool my face when using VR. In every application it seems to have improved the quality of life, and I never imagined this when I bought it. One thing I cannot emphasize enough is that I am happy that the 18650 cell is interchangeable. I'm so frustrated that so many modern electronics don't implement this simple feature, because it makes all the difference. Instead of it dying in the middle of working and having to have 3 entire extra neck fans because the battery isn't interchangeable and you can't charge it while using it, I just have 4 extra 18650 cells I keep around and charge them with a separate charger. This fan is AMAZING!Edit:10 months later I have worn this thing to DEATH. One motor is still going strong, the other is basically dead. One can take the DC motor apart and replace the wire brushes, but the motors are glued in, and this also would require running new wires to the motors from the main control board. With the low price of this item I wouldn't consider it worth the time to do so. Since this thing has already given me more than its monetary value in use, so I'm happily ordering a new one!

I've used these for travel in tropical areas outside of the U.S. and they never fail to draw a crowd. They work really well and stay charged for a lot of time. The bad part is that I've ended up gifting several pairs to people who needed it because they liked them/needed them badly. I've given a pair to an elderly archeologist who struggled to keep up with teaching his students in the heat of Africa (in fact, the director of the program decided that these were a fieldwork necessity and ordered a bunch for his entire section), a pregnant woman who had some health issues and lived in a house without A/C, and other worthy people - but that means I have to keep buying them for myself. The only bad thing about them is any long hair can easily get stuck and it's not fun, so make sure your long hair (or maybe beards?) are carefully tucked away. Oh, and the lights drain the battery much more quickly but without the lights on they last a full working day, if not longer. You can also charge them with the same battery packs you charge your phone with. One other bonus, they keep pesky bugs off your face and neck - great for places with flies who think that eyeballs are fun to eat.

...not well built in our experience. I bought six of these - two for myself and my wife and four for my baby sister, her husband and two kids, who were coming to Florida with two days of waking around Disney on tap in the August heat. Unfortunately, two of the units were broken within two days of use - as the red rubber-coated arm which extends from the horse-collar base to support and swivel the fan blade, worked its way out of its housing, rendering the item useless, as the fan blade flops around/hangs/dangles without this tension/support present to keep it in place. A 3rd unit was showing signs of the same wear on the precipice of the same unusable condition, as its same red rubber-coated arm was working itself out of the housing securing it in place. A real shame because this was a cool (PUN intended) item while it worked. This issue was the last thing I would think would disappoint me (I thought it would be either battery life or fan speed which weren't a problem and actually were very good). Bottom line is it's clear there's a serious design flaw here with how the red rubber-coated arm is being secured in place. Would not buy again and only reason gave one star is that we did get two days use from it out in the heat before they broke and were much more comfortable during that time, for whatever that's worth.

Well it def handy to have. I got it for my car for my rear facing toddler because living in Florida the kids burn up in the back seat even with ac. First I think the battery life isn't that great and second when work around the neck be careful of hair. Just one hair can tangle the fan blade and make it stop working. It appeared the cover is not removable (I didn't want to break it by pulling on it to hard) so it's next to impossible to get the hair out to make it work again.Thought I would die with the heat in the deep south last year! Well, I am prepared this year with the Sports Fan. Those high speeds did the trick. So many people asking where I bought it. I am way to old to suffer from Southern heat!! Girls when you get old a hand fan just will not do it with arthritis! Put this around your neck and head for the baseball fields!!Luckily I used tweezers and it was not wrapped too bad it pulled right out. I love the flexible party so you can turn the fans in different directions but they are not very strong enough to stay and hold well. I think it was a great purchase we tried using it at amusement park during super hot day and it was great until it died lol. Had three speeds which was awesome but it is slightly loud but then again it sits right under your ears.
