The mesh tea infuser is from China, the only thing made in USA is the decorative leaf. It's not exactly a lie, but it's definitely false advertising.

Lovely hand made item, perfect for gifting. Lead free pewter ornament made by Danforth. I was gifted the maple leaf, good detail, lovely leaf color on one side, pewter on reverse.

Their website is very misleading to make the consumer think the whole piece is made in the USA. The teaball/infuser part is made in china.. only the ornament attached is made with pewter in the USA.

This came beautifully packaged in a nice gift box. The maple leaf detail serves two purposes, a nice distinguishing detail instead of just a plain tea infuser ball, as well as a nice weight to prevent the chain from slipping into the teapot. The capacity of the infuser is normal, can be used for either a single cup or a small teapot. Filtering is fantastic, no tea leaves floating in the bottom of my cup at all! The only issue, which was really a learning curve for me, was to make sure the two halves are aligned properly to engage the latch. It took a few practice trials, but it is pretty simple. Would be a perfect gift for a tea lover, or just for yourself to make a great cup of tea even more elegant.

I'm pleased that I bought this infuser. It was more than I wanted to spend, but worth it to me that it was made in USA, pewter, and lead free. It's very nice looking too, and well made. I'm buying one for a gift too.
