Purchased for great grandchildren. They love the pump action. Around 400 rounds through rifle, so far, and everything still going well. I also require children to perform maintenance. Grease hinges, oil and wipe down rifle. Teach `em the right way.

When my oldest son expressed his strong desire for a BB gun for Christmas, I embarked on a thorough search and stumbled upon this one on Amazon. What caught my attention immediately was its pump action mechanism, which stood out as something different from the typical options. Despite some initial hesitation, I decided to go ahead and purchase it.I'm pleased to report that the gun is well-made and sturdy. The pump action feature adds a unique twist to the shooting experience, and I've been impressed with its accuracy. In terms of size and firepower, it's comparable to the classic Red Ryder BB guns, boasting similar FPS (feet per second) capabilities. The main difference lies in the BB capacity—the Red Ryder can hold more BBs compared to the pump action model.Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. It has met my expectations in terms of build quality, performance, and providing a safe and enjoyable shooting experience for my son.

We are having a blast with this pump action BB gun, now I don’t know what all the negative reviews were about. Our purchase seems to be going smoothly and fun. Delivery was also on time in great condition. I give this Daisy item FIVE STARS, AND AMAZON PRIME! Thank you! 😊

A lovely little Rifle for a young Boy or Girl. One of the best I've seen. Will shoot pellets or bb's. Not a cheap plastic stock, but actual wood. Beautiful engraving. Definitely not actual blue steel but pretty nice and a very good price for a first BB gun. Good weight, good accuracy, good size & decent durability depending on how you take care of it.

I bought this gun for snail control. It isn't super powerful but it will clear snails alright. I wanted something quiet and pretty rapid to fire without wasting CO2 cartridges and not having to pump 10 times after each shot. This is a great gun however I am a short guy with short arms so cocking the gun requires me to keep removing stock from my shoulder and then cock. That's the only complaint I really have. Other than that the mechanics are great! I love the feed barrel where you load the bb's. it is very reliable and easy. I also own a Red Ryder and I found that sometimes when I cock the lever a bb wouldn't load and I shot air only. I would have to tilt the gun and point it up so the bb's would load and then cock the lever That's why I bought this rifle because you load the screw out barrel with about 50 bb's then it fires perfectly every time. Accuracy wise I'm shooting point blank about 10 inches so I never tried long distances but point blank is pretty accurate but I still miss here and there but simply pull the lever and I'm back to kick some more a$$. That would be cool if there was a accessory mount. I ziptied a flashlight to the barrel and was blasting. Great gun and very reliable. Not very strong so don't expect to down varmints but tickle them or possibly massage them. Great for blasting crabs at the beach too because you can shoot lots of bb's fast. You will be eating crabby patties in no time! Be careful and wear eye protection. Bb's ricochet like crazy! This gun has a safety next to trigger. I wish they made a stubby version for stubby short people. This gun is a remake of an old popular model. Great gun overall. If you need to kick some serious a$$ then try looking at a .22 like a Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 Break Barrel Air Rifle (.22) powered by Nitro Piston®. It shoots up to 1100 FPS (alloy) / 950 FPS (lead) / 28.6 FPE. Also a big long gun though. Nice affordable plinking fun gun.

So let me preface this review in saying that I'm an older guy, not a twelve year old who is looking for his first peashooter. I used to go target shooting with firearms and currently living in a state with strict gun laws. Missing the good ol' kick from shooting irons, and not wanting to deal with the bureaucracy, I sought to pick up some of the BB guns of my childhood to get a simulacrum of the cordite and brass cases of days past.Anyhoo, I've had this for a weekend and have already put roughly 500 rounds through it, and I can say that it is well worth the money for what Amazon is charging for, here is the breakdown:(Note: I'm going to be comparing this a lot to Daisys' Red Ryder lever action BB gun because A:) I have one and shoot with it a lot and B:) is a comparable and similarly priced BB gun.)BUILD: When I opened it, I was immediately impressed by the workmanship, very rarely do you see a BB gun in the price bracket be such a solid build. I haven't found a single piece of plastic on it, all metal and wood, and it shows, that engraved metal receiver looks mighty purty. The mechanism that pumps the spring is a clever design, not the multi-pump of the more expensive Powerline 880, but a single pump providing a good 350 FPS per BB. The cocking mechanism has a solid feel to it as well, giving an impressionable "SCHLKIT-KLIKT" racking noise with each shot. The sights are adjustable for wind-age and elevation, and also can pivot between blade sights and peepsights, which is a nice feature. It has a pretty standard safety by the trigger housing, and while not entirely necessary in a BB gun, very useful in teaching people Firearm safety through the use of BB guns.LOADING: the upside to the loading mechanisms is that it is much more reliable than the cheaper Daises like the Red Ryder, which needs to be tilted upwards to be loaded. The downside is that it holds only about fifty and you will find yourself reloading fairly frequently. The plus side is that the loading barrel is very sturdily built, screws into place, and does not have BBs rolling around the loading chamber (again like the Red Ryder). Different from most loading mechanisms in BB guns, but by no means bad.SHOOTING: This is fairly straightforward, it shoots, it shoots hard for a single pump, and it shoot straight, straighter than my Red Ryder. I've slayed about 100 cans with this and spent this afternoon doing a side-by-side with the Red Ryder and I can say for a fact that it shoots a smidge better. This thing will lay down some pump-assisting fire on any pitiful cans, bottles, and brittle things you want to wreak vengeance upon with your flaming .177 caliber sword of justice. Shooting this thing is so damn fun, I was going to go for a multi-pump Powerline 880 for sheer force, but am so satisfied with laying down BB after BB into my shooting gallery. As I said earlier in the review, you will be reloading a lot, because it is so easy to just pump away BBs until you have an empty Daisy, a field full of broken bottles, and the smell of victory filling your nostrils.AESTHETICS: As I said, this has nice feel to it, the metal and wood give it a nice weight, it does not give the impression of being a rinky-dink plastic popgun. The action, the safety, and the cocking mechanism all lend itself to giving it an impression similar to a real firearm action (minus the noise and the kick of course). I think this is useful, as I use BB guns as a means to both keep up my practice in shooting straight, and in teaching people how to safely operate a real firearm. I think that the Daisy 25 in particular is useful, because the action, weight, sights, and safety get people accustomed to what many firearms are like without the danger/zoning issues/ammo prices. Am I saying that this will make you an excellent shot if buy it and you can get 'lil Johnny shooting .30-06 in no time? No, I am not, that is stupid, but I am saying that I believe that this is a sight better in that department than some of the plastic nerf toys we call BB guns these days.CONS: This BB gun is mighty sensitive to something, because it scratches pretty easily, on this several trips I took with this, it already has several scratches on the beautiful engraving. I have no idea who they designed the hole of the peep sight for, it is so tiny that even in broad daylight, shooting 25 yards away from a red Cola can is it hard to see what you are looking at through that itsy-bitsy hole, so I mostly just shoot with the blade sights, which are excellent. The forearm grip is at the front of the barrel, which is impossible to circumnavigate in terms of design, but ends up with you holding an less-than-ideal piece of metal shielding near the trigger housing rather than a cozy wooden grip if you want to shoot properly. Not a large deal once you get use to it.FINAL THOUGHTS: For the price, I don't see another BB guns that come close in terms of design, aesthetics, force, and fun. It has flaws, like everything, but for the price? You will not find better. I have this side-by-side with a Red Ryder and find them both excellently designed pseudo-shooting irons and would suggest both of them to anyone who is in the market for a BB gun.
