They came with their own plastic cap to protect the lightbulb. I’m pretty sure you could throw them around and the bulbs still wouldn’t break in the original packaging.So I actually bought the wrong size but that’s my bad for trying to guess the size from my owner’s manual instead of actually looking to see which of the 2 sides listed was actually going to fit my car. So that being said, I can’t speak to how well they actually work.
