I bought this one to save about $20 from the version at Home Depot, now I wish I would have got that one. On the install, realized it was missing one of the install screws for holding down the electric wire to the input, not sure if it got lost in transit or what. Started to screw in the secure screw that was still with the unit on the right side and then the bottom right of the breaker broke off(plastic piece), I wasn't being rough or anything, just screwing it in. That sucked. Well, since I only have one screw anyways, doubled up the electric wire on the left side and screwed them in. Just have to make sure and keep the right breaker down and off otherwise it could spark and cause a fire. We will see how long this temp fix lasts, I need to go buy another replacement. I would have returned it, but waited too long from purchase and install so return window is over. Wasted $75 on this one.Updated on 10/10/2024: The seller reached out and felt bad about the problems we had with the breaker. They 100% made it right. Great vendor! Thank you

I recently was investigating doing some electrical work on my house, and found out it uses a GTE-Sylvania/Zinsco panel. Popular from after WW II until about 1980, these are now considered obsolete. Aside from the reputation of these panels around safety, the required fuses are very funky, expensive, and hard to find. From what I understand Connecticut Electric makes a better than original replacement, and I found it here on Amazon for much less than elsewhere. It comes loose in the plastic shipping envelope, not in plastic like at the big box store but they are built tough so that is probably fine. There are several options for dual switches, so be sure you understand what fuse you need - this unit controls two independent 20A circuits. Getting these fuses out of a panel is a struggle, and I recommend that after turning off the main panel, that you consider using a pair of long nose locking pliers for the job, as it is virtually impossible to pull one out by hand or using a screwdriver.

DIY project. Replace all the old Zinsco breakers with these new certified ones. Success but not cheap. Those are manufactured by very few companies.

If you’re looking for a used item then this is for you. I waited WEEKS to receive this one. And once I did receive it, it was dirty and nasty!!!! For the price I should be getting something new. By the time I would have returned it wait one a new one it would’ve been even longer to get my stove to run.

My old 20 AMP Zinsco breaker stopped at the middle of Thanksgiving dinner prep due to too much load in the kitchen. The kitchen appliances shut down. I doubled up on another breaker to get things working temporarily. Bought this breaker the next day and got same day delivery from Amazon. Had to break pieces of the old Zinsco to get the thing out but it finally came out. Cleaned the buss bars, used a little grease and this one slid in perfectly. Everything is working well. The lower wire hole was a little difficult to get to but a needle nose pliers helped out. Breaker works great. If another Zinsco goes down, I will replace with one of these.

This breaker is not identical in shape to the original Zinsco breaker it replaced. My breaker box is from the early 1950s. I had a breaker go bad and needed a replacement. This two single-pole 20 amp breaker is a good replacement for the bad one. While it is not identical in shape, it fit my electrical panel well. Only difficulty I had was that the hole for the circuit/wire for one of the two breakers cannot be seen once the breaker is installed in the box. The hole is there, but the side (end) of the breaker body has a slant to it and the hold is on the back side of the slant, facing away from me.The breaker functions as it should, and does fit my old Zinsco electrical panel. The difficulty I had installing one of the two circuits (due to the reason I listed above) is the only reason I did not give this five stars. I will not hesitate to purchase another one of these breakers should I need another.
