Connecticut Electric manufactures new high quality replacement circuit breakers for Stab-Lok load centers that accept NC style circuit breakers. Circuit breakers should only be replaced with new tested and Safety Agency Listed circuit breakers, never used or refurbished ones.

This 120 volt Federal Pacific Electric, 30 amp, single pole, thin series replacement circuit breaker is used in a Federal Pacific (FPE) load center. Typical applications, up to 3,600 watts, include well pumps (up to 200'), bathroom heaters and electric motors (1-1/2 hp to 2 hp). These are only suggested applications and cannot assure compliance with all local codes. Please check local electrical codes before starting any electrical project.

1st breaker sent was defective and the break in the plastic just above the 2 metal prongs was obvious. I returned it explaining the problem. I was then sent back the same breaker just glued. It took some time before I could get the electrician back and I'd waited to open the return til he came but right away he saw that it appeared to be the same breaker just glued and as you can see when trying to put in it collapsed and the glue job was obvious. I feel scammed, beware.

I don't expect non-electrical folks to understand this but, I breathed a huge sigh of relief when these breakers actually seated firmly in the bus bar compared to my old floppy sloppy old ones. I'm running several dedicated hi amp A/C units and things were getting hot in the box. With these I feel safe that proper contact is made and my units aren't suffering to find the amps needed. Naturally the best thing to do is replace your panel with a square D or something newer, but this is a great stand-in until you can save the cash for a new panel.

I ordinarily wouldn’t spend timeTo review a breaker, but let me just tell you that if you want to buy a breaker do it online! We attempted to purchase this same breaker from both the big box improvement stores and they charge over $50 (one was $75) for this exact breaker. I know that when you need a breaker, you need a breaker, time is of the essence, but if you do have the luxury of waiting a day or two take my word that it’s worth it because you will spend double or triple at HD or Lowe’s. Oh, and yes, breaker works as expected. Smooth operation. While the electrician did recommend we upgrade the panel for $2500, I think if we can replace all the breakers for $25 each instead, I will keep my options open for a whole :)

Hard to find this Stab-Lok type of circuit breaker for a 40 plus year old Federal Distribution Panel but this one is a perfect fit and took less than five minutes to install. I am very pleased with this circuit breaker.
