Appeared to have been used, not new like the description said, but it works and in a time when these are hard to find in stores, we are happy to have one when we needed one!

The 240v breaker for my oven range would sometimes trip when the wife was cooking large meals. Needless to say that didn't go over well with her and she wanted a new appliance. Instead, I decided to replace the breaker with this one and so far no issues. Installation was fairly simple: 1) turn off main AC breaker that feeds panel (important!), 2) remove panel cover, 3) pry/rotate old breaker out of panel (see YouTube for examples), 4) unscrew wire lugs and remove wires to free breaker. Follow steps in reverse order for installation of new breaker.Only complaint is that the breaker was shipped in a padded envelope instead of a box. This caused one of corner fins on the breaker to crack and come off.

My 1980s-vintage house has a Cutler-Hammer main breaker panel, no longer made. I needed to install a new 240V, 60A line to upgrade the a/c system to a heat pump, but couldn't find a breaker that would fit at the local big box stores. This one fits fine, is reasonably priced, and solved the problem. A good deal.

The CH line of breakers and boxes is top of the line. To me it is worth the little bit of extra money for a quality product like these. The safety of my family is worth the couple hundred dollars more I spent to get the CH line. This line can be hard to find in rural areas but you do not have to worry about breakers going bad in the CH line.
