Replaced similar original unit serving as HVAC disconnect because the plastic that holds the fusible link broke somehow - it was 20+ years old and in the sun a lot, so maybe the plastic weakened over the years due to Texas heat. Hopefully this one will last at least as long.

Does what it needs to with nice copper contacts.I bought this because I needed a new handle for my 1996 installed CHDPU222R and the entire assembly was cheaper and easier to procure than the handle by itself. Be aware that the older revision of this P/N has a slightly different receiver that doesn't accept the key from the new handle so you'll need to transfer the guts from the new one into the old box, but the holes are in the same place so it's easy.
