Cable just does not display at all. My TV detects the source but no picture comes up whatsoever. Was really excited for this product too.

A lot of people here don't understand that the PS2 outputs different formats through component and you will have severe visual glitches when using it on an HDTV or CRT through component unless you change the output mode of the PS2 to interlaced for a CRT and progressive scan for an HDTV. I've had this cable for over a year and it works just fine and provides a far superior picture quality when compared to composite. Also, make sure that the composite lead does not touch anything if you are using component, and the component leads are not touching anything if you are using composite or you may experience undesired noise.

So I just got my PS2 set up after years of not using it. I used the old RCA cables that I used forever and I noticed that everything seemed dark, blurry and just not good. I ordered these cables last night and it’s honestly a day and night difference in quality. Everything is brighter & more clear. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Molto bene. Tutto sommato, con una cifra modesta, posso vedere la Ps2 in HD. Certo, poi dipende anche dal gioco cosa trasmette, ma qui non c'entra più il cavo. E' comodo perché oltre ad avere i 3 segnali separati RGB ha anche il segnale RCA ('giallo' ) che equivale al classico cavo PS2 video. Sembra anche di buona fattura.

Oh, what a difference 20 years can make! I recently got my hands on these PlayStation 2 component cables, and I can't help but wish I had them two decades ago. Bought this to see about replacing the original Sony composite cables for my original PS2. TV didn't have connection for the older RCA/composite cables (Yellow, red, and white) so I originally tried buying a cheap RCA/composite to HDMI converter. Had many an issue with that method with the main one being that the picture quality was very poor and the brightness levels were way off (super dark). Whether that was because of the converter or the Sony video cables, couldn't tell you. But switching to these cables made a huge difference. Picture is super sharp (for a PS2) and more importantly the brightness levels are normal. I did have to switch the settings in the PS2 system configuration menu so that the video output was YPbPr instead of just the yellow (composite) video. To that I needed to connect the PS2 using the composite video included in this cable, so beware of that. Build quality is insane as well. Great product!

Permette di risparmiare una presa HDMI e la qualità video su PS2 è molto buona, con colori vivi e contorni definiti. Ci sono diversi video che mettono a confronto le varie opzioni di connessione video e il cavo component ne esce sempre bene, a patto che il cavo sia di buona qualità come questo.La qualità di uscita è simile ai semplici adattatori PS2 to HDMI, che però sulle slim hanno il problema dei connettore di alimentazione che si scontra con lo spinotto di alimentazione della console, cosa che non accade con questo connettore (parlo dei classici connettori neri economici che sfruttano lo stesso segnale component, da evitare quelli gialli che vanno sul composite).Occhio che il prezzo di questo cavo PS2 component con connettore video “arrotondato” varia molto in rete ed anche qui su Amazon ci sono più offerte, nel momento in cui io l'ho ordinato queste andavano dagli 11 e qualcosa con coupon ai 26 euro. Direi che, riuscendo a restare sulla fascia dei 13€ circa, è un ottimo modo per collegare la PS2 alla TV ottenendo un'ottima qualità visiva, senza andare a finire sui rescaler, che sono su un altro livello di prezzo e prestazioni e per un'utenza di appassionati disposti a spendere cifre importanti.

Love this cable. I have had it for a couple months now with almost everyday use, plugging it in and out to test dozens of PS1. The Multi Out plug is super sturdy, and the cable and RCA connectors feel very high quality. One of the things I like the most is that it has the regular composite cable too, MISSING on the HD Retrovision cable (which I also own), that can be used to carry the sync signal when using the RGB cables on my Sony PVM monitor. And if you are using it on a less fancy setup, you can still use it as a regular composite cable. All this for less than half the price of the Retrovision one. I have not gotten any signal noise or checkered output as other user reported, but then again, I usually use it with the RGB+Sync signals (absolute best).I highly recommend this cable, as it is more versatile than the HD Retrovision which costs more than double, and feels like the same quality.

I purchased this cable for my PS3 that I moved to another tv. I wasn't able to get it to work with an HDMI connection (like the former tv). So this cable actually worked and worked pretty well. It seems very sturdy like it would last for years to come.However, after owning this for a few months, I noticed that the sound stops working after a few minutes of use. I have done everything I can to adjust settings within the PS3 system to no avail. I'm convinced at this point, that it is the cable.*Update* turns out, my PS3 is having issues. I'm reaching out to Playstation support to figure it out. My review was originally 5 stars. I changed it to 1 star.After going back and forth troubleshooting and testing with the (very kind and patient) seller it seems there is an issue with the sound of my console. I'm reaching out to Sony. Hopefully, this won't get expensive.The video with this cable is unmatched. I hope that after repair of my console, I can enjoy flawless sound again.
