ice maker works fine but is only about 33% as fast as original. not even close to keep up with family of four. may work for u if u use very little ice. otherwise buy original equipment.

The icemaker was a perfect match for the old icemaker that I had. I had my doubt as I plugged it in. I even checked the water source in about two hours later it gave me ice cubes. It was freaking amazing and it’s still doing a great job.

Purchased this to replace the broken one in my freezer. It did not come with the Ice Plus housing, but the original snapped in with No Issues. I did not know this but the original maker did not recognize the Ice Plus switch, this one does and Ice bucket will try and over flow with it now working correctly.I would call this a upgrade over the original ice maker!

We had a guy out to check our ice maker. Started leaking. He charged $100 to tell us it’s broke and good luck getting a replacement. Instead of running out to buy a new one (it is older but works great and for most of the time had only been used during the winter months until our year-round move two year ago). My husband did some research and thought this would work for us. Sooo thankful he did!!! Easy peasy to for him to install and works perfectly!!! Definitely recommend!!!

When you go to replace the Ice Maker, be sure the old one is bad. The heater on my old one was a little weaker. If the valve leaks, it will keep freezing up the feed tube. Mine started freezing up intermittently due to leakage, then it got worse. I ended up replacing the valve too. That is a little more challenging.This unit is very close to the original. The nonstick coating on the tray looks better than the original. The wire beam that senses the ice level seemed a little short for my Kenmore, so I ended up using the old one. Other than that - it just popped right in.

Was a straight replacement. Nothing special to do but reverse the steps I used to remove the old one. Much cheaper than getting from Sears for example.
