Great sound and clean tones. I have this paired with the Joyo mini head in a ported cab and it is very nice.

Superb bass response, and great in every other respect. It makes the midnight 80 12" sound like a tinny piece of junk. It holds its own up against ANY 12", and sounds as good, if not better, than the G12. Not better than the Creamback 75 12" though. But pretty close.

Put in on my DSL5C and it sounds so much fuller out of the box. It was easy to install on my particular case, remove back cover, unplug cables, undo speaker screws, use a razor blade to clean surface, put new speaker, add screws, plug back in, test!, put back cover and done.I hear there is a break in period, but out of the box I already get much more depth than with the celestion 10 30 that comes stock in the Marshall DSL5C. It makes my practice amp pop! I am a metal guy for those interested in what genre, I think it works great for it.

I put mine in a Orange Rocker 15 combo. Does the trick nicely. Great sounding speaker. Took a dozen hours of play to wear it in, and it sounds awesome.

I was using a 10" greenback in my amp for a while. It was a definite improvement over the stock speaker, but I was getting a bit bored with it. And I wanted just a bit more volume from the 5c. So I went with the G10 Vintage, which is a bit more efficient. The impact was immediate in both sound and volume. While the volume was just a bit louder, it was noticeable. But the sound...it's definitely more mid-rangy than the greenback, which really works for me. It's a bit shy on the bass, but the speaker is still breaking in, so that may resolve itself over time. But overall it really makes the 5c rip.

I installed this speaker in my Mashall DSL 40C a while back and have definitely hit sonic barriers to break it in. My Marshall DSL 40C had a Celestion Seventy 80 and it really didn't hold up well when the amp was turned up. The bottom end would drop out and the speaker would "flub out".... yes that is a technical term! The Celestion Vintage 30 is really good for classic rock. If you like classic rock break-up, Zep, Slash, etc, this might be the speaker for you. I do play modern drop-tuned songs as well and the speaker does well in the Marshall but it may not be as tight as some might like for that style of music. I have posted a YT video on how to install this speaker in a Marshall DSL 40c. Search for "DIY How to Replace an Amplifier Speaker Marshall DSL 40c Celestion Speaker Upgrade Vintage 30" on YT if you'd like to see the replacement process. Leave a comment on the video so I know that you came from this review. I gave the weight 3 stars only because it's not a light speaker... I'm not sure if good speakers are supposed to be light... are they? In the installation video, I weighed each speaker. The original Celestion Seventy 80 speaker weighed just under 6 lbs. and the Celestion Vintage 30 weighed 10.3 lbs. Be sure to match the correct OHM rating for your amplifier output. I went with a 16 OHM speaker. Buy this speaker and crank it up, you instantly will know that it was the right move.

I used an incredible amount of data and off-time searching through the different manufactures' offerings for 10 inch guitar amp speakers to find the most perfect speaker out there - and I hit the jackpot. This new speaker has been installed into a MARSHALL bedroom/practice amp. It is a two channel amp and my music styles include jazz, blues and southern rock. I have a hand built custom strat type guitar that I play through it. Both channels of the amp sound amazing. The clean side has a sparkle and the OD has a grit that the stock speaker cannot touch.I highly recommend this speaker for an easy upgrade to an already good amp - your will get new tone that will keep you playing for hours.

I chose the Celestion G10 Vintage instead of the Celestion Greenback. I went back and forth on this listening to the videos and reading the reviews that compared the two speakers. In the end I went with the Vintage just because I liked the sound of it better than the Greenback. In other words, it was just a matter of my personal taste and preference between the two. I installed the speaker into my new Vox AC4TV. The Celestion x10 speaker that came with the Vox sounded muffled and boxy to my ear. This was especially so in the bass notes. The Vintage G10 is much better, even straight out of the box. It sounds crisper and more articulate to my ear than the speaker that came with the amp. The low notes are more distinct and there is more of a snap to them instead of the muffled and muddy sound of the original speaker. It also seems that there is more headroom when playing clean than before. This may just be my imagination but it seems that I have to push the attack harder to get the sound to break up than I did before. This is a good thing as the AC4TV does not have a lot of headroom. I feel certain that if I had bought the Greenback instead of he Vintage that I would have been happy with that speaker too. As I said it was just a matter of my own personal taste rather than one being better than the other.

I put this speaker in a 1977 Princeton Reverb just to see if I liked it. This is an efficient speaker so it is loud. It has a certain grit/growl/honk to it. I think it works well with the Princeton. The only thing is that is sound kinda muffled in some frequencies. Some frequencies are very clear and others are muffled. I am thinking this may be because the speaker isn't broken in. I'll change my rating to 5 stars if that muffled sound I hear goes away. I have a Jupiter Condenser 10SC speaker that I also use in the Princeton to get a more traditional Fender tone.
