This hoist allowed my kayak to fit tight to the ceiling. A must to fit into the tight space above my garage door. Installation instructions could be better with larger diagrams. Also be aware that once the cams are released your kayak will drop like a rock unless you hold it for support. Overall a simple solution. I plan to add some eyebolts and carabiners to rig up for extra security once its up.
