The SO-239 inner conductor is made of some material that has no ability to "GRIP" the inner conductor of a PL259 type conn. The I.D. of that connector is so large it fails to even make a connection. I tried to bend the contacts together to decrease the diameter and it bent effortlessly! Will never make a reliable connection.The outside of the shell has no teeth, these are necessary to secure, electrically and physically, the connection with the mating connector. The entire center conductor of this object is not centered in the barrel, therefore impedance matching was not considered. Note the white dielectric material in the right photo, it's there for this reason and multiple reasons. This connector is poorly designed and made from sub standard materials for use use in RF connections. A proper connector is pictured on the right. An RF radio system is only as good as its weakest link...this is an especially weak link!

Made a makeship antenna with a piece of hurricane shutter with this, but needs an antenna matcher which is unavailable at this time.Never buy the Z match. Garbage.
