I bought this product with some skepticism as the last few microphones I have purchased have lacked in quality, performance, and being distinctively clear when using to record lyrics with music. The CAROL microphone has exceeded my expectations with quality, clearness and performance an amateur recording studio. I am very happy with this product and the price is very reasonable for what you are getting.

Good quality sound for karaoke. This is my second order. I will always recommend this brand.

I bought this for my husband who loves hos karaoke . He used to do it as a business so wanted something decent enough and he says it's great.

I needed a mic for Zoom meetings and wanted one that can be a bit further away from me so that it is neither in the picture nor in my way on the desk. So I bought this and mounted it on the top middle of my monitor. And although it’s a super cardioid polar pattern, meaning better suitable than cardioid mics in this setup (AFAIK), I didn’t get it as loud as expected. The gain in the app and system were set to max. So I don’t know if there was an issues with the XLR to USB C adapter (bought separately) or with the mic. The build quality of the mic is excellent.I’m now using a Razer Seiren Mini USB Condenser Microphone (super cardioid) and it captures my voice perfectly and loud.

I didn't like it because I have to put my mouth on top of microphone for sound.

Couldn't get this to work with my laptop. Maybe it's not intended for that purpose, although it is described as an all-purpose mic. Will try some different connection cables to see if that makes a difference, and will update my review if I can get it to work.

On off switch is silent and don’t make a popping sound. Does have a little handling noise, the vocals are a bit on high side than the warm / low end. Good for the price

This Carol microphone has an outstanding feature that will be appreciated by most user performers.It has a silent on off or muting switch that is silent and I do mean silent. It is not a mechanical switching that causes a click on the line but instead that function is replaced by a instantaneous fade of volume to full mute or off. It is so rapid it is imperceptible to the listener. It really works nicely.I dont have the equipment to test the specifications of the microphone as to sensitivity and frequecny response but due to the completeness and believable specification sheet that is included with the microphone. That so many times is a neglected inclusion. For the fact that Carol includes the specifications it ignites that intuitive sense within me that these specifications are fair and accurate.The manufacturer claims that the microphone has a sensitivity of minus 78 db and an impedance of right around 300 ohms using one kilohertz as the standard.The frequency response of the microphone is quite adequate given as 50 cycles per second to 18,000cycles per second. More than good enough for most human ears. The specification says within plus or minus 3db.Again realistic, and bearing honesty.The microphone comes in a nice presentation box, certainly nice for gifting or giving to a friend that is hoping for a career of singing or performing in one way or another.The microphone comes with a mike stand adapter of the almost traditional types for dynamic mikes of this type, and a more than adequate length of shielded cable that has a good XML connector which snaps in securely to the bottom or end of the microphone and at the other end a standard large size phone plug.All in all a complete package.The microphone produces the best output and sound quality when speaking close to it.When I say close I mean two to four inches.The pop and blast shield seems to work quite well. I suppose if you are an emotional performer you might want to consider an additional foam blast shield after all you don't want your tears getting into the microphone. 'Nuf said! (:-)))) Moisture into the microphone or into the blast grill works is not a good idea on any microphone so always have regard for that natural human characteristic.The construction of the microphone is very solid, from the non-glare light sky blue body to the blast shield construction. Nothing loose, nothing thin, all good solid feel all the way around.I would recommend this microphone as a great value because of the unique features, the cable provided and the performance of the microphone which is really good. Nice smooth sound, great close up and the distinct advantage of having a secure XML output jack in the base of the microphone make it a pro microphone without doubt. There is excellence here, and I don't often get that feeling with audio devices that I review.An award of five stars for this model of Carol Microphones.
