Short cord but i take that over cheap wireless mics that have too much feedback. Easy to use and to connect. Also , does not give any issues.

This unlike others that seem you are candying stick lollipop while singing or speaking. Literally, It has wide range of reception that hears even drop of a single pin on the floor (not a pin that placed inside the heavy and big metal canister then dropped it on the floor). How can you try if you will not buy this? If you are uncertain on what I say, just buy what I bought with double of its price, because I will not give mine with the same price anymore! I now learned to value this!

I am a guitarist and singer who plays smaller venue gigs both solo and with other musicians or bands. For years I have been using a Shure PGA48, which is about a $50 highly-rated microphone. I have been considering upgrading for a while, so I decided to give this Carol a shot.I have only tested it in my home so far, but according to my wife and kids (and my own ears), there is a noticeable improvement in clarity and depth from the Carol compared to the Shure. So, as my initial review, it is clearly an upgrade and worthy of 5 stars. I will update my review after I have a few chances to use this microphone live. As value for price goes, I don't have a mic to compare it with other than the Shure I mentioned, and this Carol is about twice as expensive. That being said, it is a small price to pay to have better sound quality for paying gigs, and that difference in cost is easily covered in one gig for most musicians.

I've been fortunate enough to review a few Carol Mics, and they are all fantastic.I want to say right here and now that of course music and microphones are subjective. As excited as I am about finding Carol mics, I know some are going to just not like the way they are tuned. The TLDR: When you are recording or performing, you have to have a level of quality, clarity, transparency, responsiveness that can deliver quality sound. These deliver. Not everyone will love their sound and they might not be chosen for certain situations where other mics make more sense,, but these hit WAY above their weight class. The switch seems very transparent on this mic, so it shouldn't be a factor in having it and not needing it (ie. you don't have to find a non-switched version for better quality sound is the case with a lot of lower end mics with switches). And now, the TL part...With the Carol's that I've reviewed. I've been blown away every time. I check other reviews to see if it's just me - and clearly it's not - people love them but they are also kind of scratching their heads over them. The thing is, if these mics cost 3 times what they do, they would make more sense and people would know what to think about them. But they are an unknown name and priced around commodity level professional stage gear. It doesn't make sense that they would perform so well. It's confusing.I'm going to go out on a limb and say this beats all my other brand handheld mics. The Shure Beta58 is a fantastic mic. The Shure SM7B is kind of the world standard for voice and a great choice for vocalists, because it delivers (not handheld usually, lol)Right now, today, I think I would choose a Carol mic instead. To be fair, they do have an "opinionated" sound - in other words, they aren't flat - but emphasize sounds you like and de-emphasize sounds you don't. But that's how all great gear is. A Neumann - Studio - TLM 102 is kind of flat, but it's also kind of not flat - and that little bit is why people choose it. And that you can trust that anything with the name is going to have the same high level of quality and fidelity.Would a Carol be the go to Studio mic? Probably not always. But definitely sometimes. For vocals, drums, guitar amps, acoustic guitar, even bass - the Carol mics have just been fantastic at whatever I've thrown at them.I should say at this point that I have no idea of longevity or of consistency over time, but I've reviewed 4 different mics, and if I had only reviewed one I wouldn't have realized how great they actually are.As for notes on this specific model, it performs the same as the AC-910, which is to say fantastic. The switch is very high quality and there is no popping, it's very quiet and smooth and seems it will last a long time.If you want to try out an interesting mic, I recommend the Carol CLM-101 to you. I can't get over the sound, it's so FULL and doesn't need to be EQ'd. It's crazy. That said, this is a safe bet for whatever you want to use it for. Usually switch mic's are for backing vocals or instruments in live situations, but this sounds good enough to double up as a studio mic as well.Carol. Who knew?Highly Recommended.PS. to Carol: Uhm, please don't raise your prices. People will figure out how great your mics are.

I tested this against a Shure SM58 (still the industry standard after 50 years). The CAROL feels solidly built and comes with a very heavy-duty cord. I would rate the sound as quite similar to the SM58, with slightly better side-sound rejection and very slightly more pop (noise from p sounds). The frequency response is smooth with clear highs, even midrange, and good--not boomy--lows.

In the past 20 years, I have gone through my fair share of xlr microphones. Usually, the price tag defines the quality in this area. However, CAROL has changed that game, at a prosumer price level, this microphone really gives you your money's worth. Dialog is crisp and clear and barely any sound editing needs to be done. The only complaint I have is the on/off switch which in my opinion is not necessary. If you have a block on the microphone it will sometimes shut off on its own. I solved this problem by using some electrical tape to keep it always in the on position, but before I found this solution it was a bit frustrating.
