Watched video, easy install. One screw out, slide out broken part, slide in new part, screw in one screw, done. Used ladder to hold up awning not chair. Fits perfectly

If you've got a Carefree awning, this assembly may be too long. Measure your requirement first. If you don't mind drilling new holes for the rivets, have at it. It's what I had to do. No big deal. Now my lock works again.

Worked great to reapplied the broken release on my Carefree awning. Took 5 minutes to remove old one and install new one.

Awning remote-release is now fully functional. This is clearly the exact part shipped with the awning. Be prepared to temporarily remove parts of the arm to install. With help, it's possible to lock the awning and remove the two arm screws and slide the assembly in after lifting the roller off the arm.
