This canoe paddle is perfect if you need a paddle that you can break down for transportation. For me, this replaces the old oar I had in my fishing boat. I like that this one folds up and stows easily in the bow storage. It's not overly heavy, and would be totally fine for paddling a canoe as well, which I am sure I will do from time to time. I also like that it's bright orange and that it floats.It's a good paddle for sure. If you are getting it exclusively for paddling a canoe, I think you might find it is a little heavier than your standard wood oar, and you might find it tiring to use after awhile, but that's a tradeoff I am happy to make for the convenience of it being so easy to break down and transport. It even comes in a little bag you can store it in. Great value.
