This outsourced reproduction of a popular USA quality made saxophone ligature is basically an attempt to replicate an instrument accessory that has been a standard go-to item for several decades in America.I’m uncertain exactly what name this ligature is manufactured under. The box shows the name Longsheng Yueqi, but there is an attached label on the box that reads “Btuty Alto Saxophone . . . “There are occasional assembly related “blemishes” on the ligature, mostly glue overruns from where fabric pieces were joined (see shiny areas in photos). The ligature comes with one of the thinnest plastic mouthpiece caps I’ve ever seen (see photo), but it does have a cap, which is a positive. The materials used to make this ligature are obviously less refined compared to what one gets if the originally designed product is purchased, although when tested the ligature does seem to hold its own compared with several other available ligs I tested it against.I compared it to a couple Rovner ligatures I have, as well as a Rico H-Ligature. I would say performance wise this ligature placed somewhere between the light and dark versions of the Rovners I tested it with. My alto sax played surprisingly well in all registers with the Longsheng Yueqi product, and for the cost I do recommend it as an extra backup lig should one be in a pinch and require a spare ligature.

The way it fits is different than a metal ligature, but overall it holds the reed tightly and looks good!
