Forgive the droid reference! I have been casually searching for a few years now, a set of blocks that sound like the horse-gallops in the Christmas song 'Sleigh Ride'. Well, I found them.This is a quality set of (2) tough plastic musical blocks, with integral metal mounting clamp. Each block has one larger lip on the long edge, meant for hard striking and long life. The quality is of professional grade.

I wanted to add some kind of percussive block to my drum kit but didn’t want a cowbell since I already have one. I bought this pair of jam blocks hoping it would sound nice, have a nice tone and be different enough to use both on my drum kit. For my case, they sound pretty good and seem comparable to more expensive plastic jam blocks. Both of them have a different pitch and complement each other well. Also, it is loud enough to fit in a mix with the rest of the drum. It included a small yellow stick, which is fine if you plan on using them by themselves, but a drumstick sounds better with them.The way the mounting bracket is made, the jam blocks can easily be mounted on a cowbell clamp, on a hi-hat rod or even on a cymbal stand if you remove the felt. All in all, it seems sturdy and durable enough for a long time of use.Seriously, there’s no con that can be noted. I highly recommend this product.
