pros: This is a great kayak for fishing or just hanging out with a friend. The seats are fairly comfortable and easily remove; they can sit lower in the kayak or up about 2", which gives better viewing. The front seat can be turned around so that two people are facing each other for a visit with the grand kids or my daughter. The kayak is extremely stable and pretty tough. It has plenty of space for fishing gear, an anchor, snacks or whatever, either in the two dry boxes or in molded sections that stop things from moving around. Accessory rails are nice.I'm surprised at how well it tracks through the water since I'm paddling a bus! Nicely designed hull.A few cons:The paddles that come with it are too short (~90") for a fishing kayak of this width; depending on your height, you may want to try at least 98" paddles. The shorter paddles also make the rear cup holder useless: you whack the can or thermos with the paddle. The sales video shows putting one seat near the middle for single-person use. That does work, but you will sit lower. The bigger problem is that the seat frame doesn't sit level in that position. That's a problem because it causes constant squeaking of the seat fabric with every little movement: it's extremely annoying and prevents you from sneaking up on fish or having a quiet paddle. The fabric does NOT squeak when the seats are in the front or back positions, either sitting low or high. I paddle solo from that rear position just to have the quiet.Further, if you put the seat in the middle position there are no foot rests. I bought and installed a pair until I realized I couldn't eliminate the squeaking in that middle position. I don't even use them now since I just solo paddle from the back postion. It's heavy, but it's a sit-on fishing kayak, so it should be. I'm happy with this and think it's a fair price.

We received the Brooklyn kayak earlier than stated. It is in excellent shape and the delivery company was great. This kayak is well thought out with a lot of features for the anglers who would purchase it. It is heavy, but will support 800 lbs which is greater than most. A kayak trolley is a must. Will update after we get it into the water.

Really wanted to like this kayak, but after an hour on the water even solo (200 lbs) on still water the hill fills with so much water it barely floats. Not sure where the water is getting in but I ran a bead of silicon around all the ports and it still fills up with water.

My wife wanted a more stable kayak and we searched through many brands before choosing this. I am so very glad we did. After a brief learning curve, we were able to maneuver effortlessly upriver with a 2 mph down current and a 10 mph headwind. We made about 4 miles in 2 hours paddling without much effort. Made the same 4 miles downstream in about an hour. The craft tracks true, the hatches are easy to work and are watertight. The only thing we didn't care for were the scupper plugs, so we replaced them with plugs that have pull cords. To further test the stability, we took it out on Lake Mead with 15-20 mph winds and medium chop, and my wife was completely satisfied.
