I installed aftermarket fuel injection to my 1979 Ford F250. I needed to attach a hose fitting w 7/16 20 thread. This nut is thin yet wider than standard similar nuts and designed to secure "bulkhead fittings" very tight so they are leak free. I needed to grind down an edge to make sure the sender unit fits into my tank, I used an epoxy seal on the fitting side, a 3/8 o ring or 7/16 teflon washer also can work, but the return line is such low pressure the epoxy was sufficient. Great piece made a perfect connection.
