I bought them to measure cantaloupes for field evaluations for my work. They are easy to read and are sturdy enough to be thrown about a bit in the field. They are also easy to clean after being used in muddy conditions or after getting melon juice on themI like that the numbers are etched in rather than being printed on, so the numbers don't get washed off.The size is a bonus. Few calipers at this price point can span a whole cantaloupe, so this was a great find. Not having to worry about batteries on a digital caliper is also a plus.
