Excellent value for your money.I'm a novice player trying lots of different reeds and these are by far my favorites. Nice, rich tone and they LAST.

Looked interesting so I thought I would try. They are narrower than the other synthetic reeds I have - not even sure if they shipped the right reeds for my tenor sax as I ordered (doesn't say on box). I ordered 2.5 which plays more like a 3.5 - I will try again but not sure if I will ever use them...

EDIT! Jump to the last paragraph for updated review: dropping my star rating down to 3 from 4.===================Original Review:===================Right out of the box the first one worked pretty well. Honestly it took about 5 seconds for me to get the feel of it. I experimented with different positioning on my MP as the reed is a bit smaller than the last plastic one i used, and a bit thicker than the last cane I used. Some ligature adjustments may be required.I've been using Vandoren V16s, 2.5 for years and this is pretty much a match to those.Bonus: ALL FIVE reeds played the same right out of the box.I've only had these for a day and don't know how they'll perform in the long run, (hence only 4 *) but so far after about 90 mins of playing on one, it's holding up pretty well.=======================================2 months later Review:======================================Well these things stayed consistent but they faded pretty fast. After 2 months of rotating them every day, about 2 hrs per day, they started to get pretty mushy and stuffy. But they did it consistently. The first problem was that I noticed they'd close up on a High D or higher, so basically they got pretty soft.I had expected them to last me at least 6 months, maybe a year, but here we are at 2 months and they are starting to get soft.

What may be good for the goose, may not be good for the gander. I think these reeds might be specific for a certain mouthpiece, but which one? IDK. I bought a 3, and they were super-stiff, felt like I was playing a 5. I tried them on 4 different MP’s (Dukoff D8, CE Winds Tenor Blue, Vandoren Jumbo Java T75, & Java T55). I had the best luck with my Java T55, but still very hard. For tone, I had glimpses of a decent tone, but these are probably best suited for a MP with just the right tip opening/table/chamber/rail combination. I normally play Fibracell 4 or Vandoren 3 Green Box, and if you buy a Bravo, I recommend getting a 2. I think the reeds look really cool and durable, and they have very robust individual cases. Some reeds are very MP specific, some play well with others. I think this company will do itself justice if they provide info on the MP’s it plays well with.

As my son found out yesterday at his solo, these are terrible. Not only are synthetic reeds frowned on for anything but marching band, this brand in particular is the worst out there. Definitely not worth the money and he will never use them again since he was marked down a full score just for his reed.

These are very good synthetic reeds and I plan to purchase more in the future. They last long and offer very good resistance, durability and flexibility for a long time. The quality is consistently good across the entire box of 5 and is the strength expectedof a 2.5 cane reed. I absolutely recommend this product.I play these reeds on my Syos and Meyers 5 mouthpieces.

I've been playing sax over 50 years, and I play professionally. I've found some of the synthetic reeds to my liking - especially because they are long lasting and don't need to be wetted, and don't warp. I also spend a fair amount of time adjusting reeds. For example, new FIbracells all seem to have asymmetries that need to be removed (I use a PerfectaReed gauge for this.) I was curious to see if these new Bravo synthetic reeds, which are priced very reasonably, are any good. They were not. They play badly out of the box. They don't have a flat bottom, and that needs to be corrected. They blow harder than typically for other reeds of the same hardness. If you're used to a 2.5, probably should try a 2. In any case, I didn't find them very satisfactory. They felt unresponsive - more work, for less sound. If you know how a good reed feels compared to a poor one, you know what I mean. I've had some small success by copying the profile of a good playing reed (in this case, a solid methacrylate G-Reed that I'd further adjusted), to the point where at least one Bravo reed plays pretty well - but not as well as a good Hartmann, Hahn or G-Reed, or even a Fibracell. Still, in the end it's just my opinion and personal preference.BTW, they are made out of solid polypropylene: they have an embossed recycling triangle on the bottom and the legend "PP".

I've only been playing saxophone since May and prefer the synthetic reeds. I know traditional sax players may frown on this, but I'm 47 and don't plan on playing professionally, so they work just fine for me. I do not like wetting the cane reeds (gag reflex), so this is my best alternative. I just put it on the mouthpiece and play away!
