This faucet is definitely a good solution for rain barrels. It is a little annoying to install because the faucet doesn't come off of the mount, but it isn't that hard to figure out. It works and seals well, and it as a good water flow. Overall, it works well and is a good price. I personally like the detachable faucet design better, but this one certainly works.

Nice quality. I like that it comes with extra seals, but why the Teflon tape? It is so silly that products like this come with Teflon tape, which only does anything on TAPERED fittings. These are no tapered fittings on this item. Both of the connections on this item are sealed with rubber gaskets.Teflon is a toxic, endocrine disrupting, forever chemical that we don't need more of in this world. Please stop including it with products like this that don't need it!

This SNUTUYA Brass Rain Barrel Spigot is a Lead-Free Compliant Spigot will give you years of service. It is sturdy and substantial. Unlike plastic, this brass spigot should hold up well during the winter months. The product video doesn't show how to assemble it. The compact package comes with all the parts you need, EXCEPT instructions and tools. You will need a 3/4 inch spade bit if your rain barrel is not already pre-drilled. You will also need a drill and an adjustable wrench. I used a sturdy plastic trash can because I will only be using the water for my plants. Using a 3/4 inch spade bit, drill the snug hole into the barrel/trash can (drill up at least a few inches or more from the bottom so it can accommodate a garden hose). Unscrew the retainer ring from the bottom of the spigot. Insert one black washer snugly on the threaded end of the spigot, pressing it down with your fingernail or a flat screwdriver to make sure that it is snug up against the spigot collar, all the way around. Take a 4-6 inch strip of the white Teflon plumbers tape and wrap it clockwise around the threaded pulling tightly so that you can see the pipe thread. Press this tape into the threads with your fingers and then "screw" it into the hole until it is flush with the barrel. (You can also do this tape wrap inside the barrel after you have inserted the spigot, but it's a little harder if your barrel is very tall). The hole will be very snug and the spigot should not just slide on. On the inside of the barrel, slide the other black washer onto the tape-covered threads. This too will be very snug and you may need to press hard all around the washer to get it to snug up to the inside wall of the barrel. Then screw on the retaining ring and tighten as hard as you can with an adjustable wrench - making sure that the faucet/spigot is straight on the outside. The little black handle on the spigot seems to have been machine-tightened and it wouldn't turn on my spigot. So I used a small Phillips (X) screw driver to loosen it just the slightest bit. If that doesn't work for you, you can safely spray a little bit of WD-40 on the screw area and that should help to loosen it if it is too tight to open. Then sit back and enjoy your nice work!

The item I received is really nice. Seems like really good quality. It appears to be type 304 stainless steel and rated for 1000 PSI W.O.G. (water, oil or gas).

When it comes to plumbing, I usually prefer brass fittings, but this stainless-steel spigot has won me over. I got it to use in turning a trash can into a DIY rain barrel and it is great. The rubber washers and plumbers tape help you get a leak-free seal. It is a simple install once you have a hole drilled. I love the handle, which makes it easy and comfortable to switch the water on and off. So well-made.At the time of this review the SNUTUYA Store 304 Stainless Steel Rain Barrel Spigot/Faucets, High Flow Lead-Free Compliant Water Container Spigot 3/4-inch O.D. Inlet to 3/4"GHT Male Thread Outlet with Quarter Turn Ball Valve,5-55 Gallon Bucket was listed for $13.99 with and additional 5% discount which is a good price.
