It is good enough for me and my mattress is compatible so I didn't have to buy another one, that's a lot bang for buck.Although I am a little concern a bit, about the fact that the entire weight, rests only on a single lifting piston. I hope electronics won't fry either and will last, otherwise I don't know where to get spare parts.

So at first it worked very well. Note, It will not lay flat. After 6 weeks it stopped working. I called the manufacturer and after about 20 rings you can leave a message with someone named Mathew. Well no one returns the call. I called Amazon and they refunded part of the money. So I lost $70.00.I needed something like this cause my husband had a stroke and it is helpful to lift him.Maybe if they read this They might pay attention to the customers. I will let you know, for now be aware if your product doesn’t work after a month you are stuck.

Use this in my camper and it worked very nice installed easy the mattress stays raised about 4 in because of the mechanism but I don't seem to find that a problem when sleeping seems to work very well on my queen size mattress in my camper

definitely works best on a platform bed. Don't know how it would work on top of a box spring under the mattress. That's how it works so well, it goes under the mattress. I thought though it would be just short of queen size for our bed, to fit the whole width, but it was shorter.good product

I have an 82-year-old mother that I take care of that currently is in the bed 24 hours a day. I was super excited to get this lift that lifts up only the top of the bed, which is exactly what I needed it worked for approximately six months I ended up, lifting my mother to feed her in the bed would not go down. She was stuck in that position. There’s no way to manually let the bed down so I had to disassemble the lift while she was in the bed. It was absolutely horrible. I had to turn her towards the bottom of the bed so that I could get behind the mattress and unhook everything. I contacted Amazon they advise that it was still under the manufacturer warranty and I would have to contact Boyd. I called Boyd spoke with a representative. They took my information. Said someone would contact me that was over a month ago. I’ve left emails messages no further contact so I called Amazon again and they were awesome. They ended up returning The bed after the window for returns have closed. I ended up getting a credit and now I’m in the process of purchasing a completely different lift. I would not recommend purchasing anything from Boyd even though they say that the manufacturer has warranty they don’t call you back to even process anything Total waste of my time and money

The base arrived quickly and it only took about 15 minutes to get set up. I was expecting it to take way longer than it did. Bonus points there! I get to chill in bed with the head up in a comfy position that lets me use my laptop or watch Netflix without putting strain on my neck. For the price, the base has been a huge quality of life improvement already.
