I previously to this bought a dual one which did not have a flush mount option like this one does and that one lasted less than 6 months this one is going on a year and still works exactly the same as it did the first day I put it on. I definitely will get boss audio a chance in the future (not for amps/subs sorry)

Works great, crystal clear image and wide field of view. It also came with the small hole saw, which was a nice touch. I installed this on a taillight lens in the factory position and used a wireless transmitter instead of pulling wire.

My 2003 wrangler has and offset license plate so I needed to come up with and alternate to the license plate cam that came with my BOSS head unit. This camera was easy to install and wire up. The picture is very clear and high resolution. I am very pleased with how it turned out. The only negative is the terrible hole saw that comes with the camera. Do yourself a favor after nd go to your local big box store and buy a decent bit before starting this project especially if you are drilling into something substantial (like a bumper)

The only complaint is the instructions don't give you all the information you need. There is no explanation for the red leads that are at each end of the RCA video cable, they aren't even shown in the schematic. You get a short lead with a red wire for the reverse circuit and a black wire for ground that will power the camera when in reverse. The RCA video cable connects to your display in the vehicle cabin. The red lead on the RCA cable can be used to connect to a reverse trigger on your head unit that would activate the backup camera mode when you shift into reverse. Splice this into the reverse lamp circuit at the rear and the other end to the trigger wire on the head unit. It could also be used to power the camera. The camera itself and bracket do not have a top or up indication on them so you will have to get assistance to have the video level and properly orientated. It would be helpful if they had a tab up indication on the camera body. It is a very clear feed and you get the option to use the programmed guidelines or if you don't want them or have a display that gives you the option to calibrate your own, you can just cut the white wire loop on the camera lead. (Make sure you tape it off) It took a while to get the unit orientated and aimed properly, it was worth it. Mine is connected to a Boss Audio BVC9685A in a 2012 Mazda 3s

I acquired this camera to replace the one that came with the screen because the other one went bad ( it's different brand ) now I got this one and it works perfect, way different and clear picture quality I'm happy with the purchase and really like the night vision.. update: 8/07/21 this camera gave up, still turns one but imagine is gone to a whitish picture , can't tell much from the image so yeap is done!
