I needed a center speaker from Bose, and was having a hard time finding one. I have the 2 small cubes with the subwoofer by Bose, but never had a center speaker. I didn't know if I would ever find a center Bose by itself, so as soon as I seen this one, I didn't hesitate at all. I will say, it is a purchase I do not regret one bit. This speaker made a HUGE difference, I have been missing a lot of different sounds and effects by not having this speaker....Highly recommend it, it will make a big difference, and will be able to hear everything and all the voices loud and clear.

It is a very small speaker but if you are limited on space its perfect. I will say this, it does such a good job of directing sound that you need to have it centered or you will feel like the dialogue is coming from the right or the left. I have a 150w per channel Denon and it can handle the power no problem. All in all I am very pleased with it. And I have it within inches of the Plasma and on interference so the shielding is good. The sound is very good. Three years ago I bought a new TV and home theater system. I already had Bose cubes but not a center one and could not find it by itself in the Bose site or stores. I replaced all the speakers that came with my home theater system with the Bose Cubes except the center channell--I used the one that came with that company's box. Now I saw this Bose center channel speaker on Amazon so thought I would see if it was any better. Very happy I spent the money to find out! I just installed a new 70" TV and now with this center speaker the entire system sounds great. Would recommend it.

Bose's ability to get incredible sound out of tiny speakers is well known, but this speaker really blew me away. The clarity of the dialogues is better than any other central speaker I have ever had and the music fidelity is really remarkable. If you are on the market for a central channel speaker, you should wonder why you would not get this one, not why you would. It blew anything else I have tested (Polck and Kliptsch) out of the water, even some at a significant higher price point.When you add that it practically disappears because of its tiny size, in my opinion it does not get much better than this without spending a fortune.

The vendor had two available at the time of sale. One was listed as in "good" condition and the other was listed as in "very good" condition so I brought the "very good" one. It arrived in a lightly padded brown envelope and was obviously in "poor" condition as it rattled and seemed to be broken in two pieces but held together by the strong casing. It also arrived scratched.I kept it because it still worked and I put it on my system shelf where it is at least functional. The vendor contacted me and made some silly threats about replacing it after he ascertained through whatever means he could that I had not damaged it. I decided to keep it. If the vendor had offerered to send a replacement in a padded box I would have accepted a replacement. Buyer beware!

I've never been a big fan of Bose. I have always thought their products were over priced and you paid mostly for their name. This speaker, however, has made a believer in me. The small size is exactly what I needed for the application where I was installing my system and I was concerned that the sound quality might suffer because of the small size. I couldn't have been more wrong - very big sound and excellent clarity with great frequency response. I would highly recommend this speaker for any system.

I have a Denon 5.1 Surround with a Polk Subwoofer (4) 8" Yamaha 3-Way In-Ceiling Speakers and this Bose Acoustimass as my Center Channel. My Sound system is all pieced together, all speakers except the sub are hooked up at line level outputs. simply connected this Bose with ordinary Speaker Wire (16 or 18 Gauge) to the back of the receiver; no special connectors needed. Like some of the other Bose Speakers.I have had (3) different Center Channel speakers including this Bose hooked up to my A/V System. This is by far the best I've ever heard.I don't like the sound bars as most of them have independent volume/remote controls, independent Amplifiers and usually require a Pre-Amp or a Proprietary Connector. With that in mind Balancing your sound system can become cumbersome. Don't get me wrong, Sound Bars are great if you want loud Room filling sound without the sub and 4 or 6 more speakers than a sound bar is good for that purpose and they are definitely better than the crappy built in speakers of your displayIn my opinion if your putting a nice sound system together or looking for more clarity and amazing room filling sound from your center channel. I would recommend this highly. I actually have my receiver set to -10dB just for the center channel as this speaker is so Clear and room filling.I was hesitant at first because of the size but when i hooked this up i couldnt believe what i was hearing.I put a BluRay in and I was hearing so much more of the movie that i didnt hear before. So much of the audio of a movie is lost because of poor speakersSo Again Don't let the size fool you. I have had a Sony center channel (Junk) a $250 JBL Pro series Center with dual 4-1/2" Cones with mid's and tweeters. Sounded good; I thought until I replaced it with this Bose Center Channel. Well Worth the money.
