I grabbed this for the kids bikes. It works, but seems clunky. the two pieces just slip together, and easily slide out. There are several holes in the metal that look like you could add hardware to secure them, but none is included. I was able to fit the kids front tires in the rack on both sizes of their bikes, but wouldn't try to fit my mountain bike in it. I feel like even if the pieces slid apart, it would still hold itself up, but the sturdiness is greatly increased when both pieces are connected. I'd save the money and get a more durable option. My review process: 5*- Blew me away, features that are much better than anticipated (rare). 4*- Product is as expected, and good quality. This is a STRONG review. 3* - Product should function, but has minor flaws. (Average product) 2*- Product may work, but won't last long/cheaply made/major flaws/issues, item failure w/ some remediation from seller. 1* - Poor item/failure during use, or before, no remediation from seller.

Total fail! What seemed like a decent enough concept crashed and burned in application. Out of the box construction seemed fine, finish was nice, and the interesting end caps can be twisted to ensure the rack lays flat on an uneven floor….but this where the positive ends. These are very light and come with no hardware to attach them together or secure them to the floor, so good luck getting them stay in place. Then when are tried to put my 7 year old daughter bike into the rack, the tire wouldn’t fit! We are not talking about an adult mountain bike with oversized tires, this is a basic kids bike. Completely disappointed, I went back to the house to pull up the item to see if it was my fault for not reading a warning or something. I did find measurements listed in which it says the slot for the tire is 2”, so back out I went. Tape measure in hand. To see if it was indeed 2”…….and it wasn’t. 1 7/8”. I’m not sure if it actually had the full 2” of space the bike tire would have fit, but I guess we won’t be finding out. What a design miss making a bike rack that won’t even accommodate the front tire if a child’s bike.
