Similar to non-woven hand pads and quick change surface conditioning discs but now with the added benefit of longer life and more consistent finishes provided by the flap disc construction. As the nylon material wares down, new material is revealed allowing for more consistent results with less down time to switch discs.

I used the maroon (medium) to remove 60 and 80 grit flap disc scratches on stainless steel. Then I used the blue (fine) to remove 120 grit flap disc scratches on stainless steel before sanding and polishing. These kept cutting and lasted a long time before I needed to swap to a new disc. I found these work the best between 6,600–9,500 rpm (I used 15 and 13.5 amp grinders). The disc seemed to do 90% of the work—little pressure needs to be applied. The blue (fine) discs will remove 60 and 80 grit scratches, too; they’ll take longer though.

These are great for blending out the grinding marks from a flap disc. You can get a nice polish or create a swirl pattern. It will remove more metal than you think when you lean into it. Last a good amount of time as long as you don’t use them for a lot of sharp edge deburring.

Perfect for a nice smooth finish. Wish that they could last longer, but it’s hard to imagine how when you consider what it’s made from.

Good product. I used them for finishing stainless steel handrails. They worked great to smooth welds and remove scratches before the final polish.
