Better than I expected. Nice clamp and the reed is not over damped. Fits my soprano berglassen rubber mouthpiece fine

Performs just like the manufacturer specifies. Allows the reed to vibrate so freely and certainly is great value for the price.

I like BG products. This ligature is no exception. This one gives the dark tone fabric/leather with the dynamics and response of a good metal reed plate.

I ordered this ligature for a gift for my son. He had just gotten a new silver Tenor Sax and I wanted this silver ligature for an opening night present for him. I ordered on May 1st, in time to arrive before opening night. Opening night came and went. No sign of the ligature or word from Music Factory Direct. Amazon did e-mail me to say they did not know if or when Music Factory would ship and they would automaticly cancel the order if not shipped by June 3rd. Well today, May 31st, it finally came. Problem being the picture on the Amazon web site is clearly silver hardware, but you guessed it, it came in gold! If I had wanted a gold one, I could have just gotten it at our local music store. I would return it, but after taking 1 month to get here, who knows how long it would take to get my money back. The ligature is of good quality, it just doesn't match his Sax. And to add insult to injury, the price has since dropped and is now $8.65 less than what I paid. Oh well. Live and learn.

First, Musician's Friend has surprised me with one of the quickest orders I have ever placed. I paid for normal shipping on the BG Super Revelation Ligature and some V16 Reeds and received the package in just TWO days! Not only am I surprised, but elated after months of dealing with a bent standard issue Selmer ligature. Musician's Friend, you're awesome!Out of the Box, the BG Super Revelation even looked a cut above the competitors. While, I was pleased with the SQ of the Rovner Ligature that I had bought for my Alto about a year ago, I decided to invest in a more expensive ligature for my Tenor. Even though the BG-SR was more than double the price of the Rovner ligature, any doubts I had were immediately wiped away with the response that this ligature gave me. My Selmer La Voix Tenor Sax had a mellow dark tone before, but with the V16's and BG-SR the tone of the instrument gained a presence and bite that had been out of my grasp.Finally, as an Intermediate level musician, with a low income, this ligature has already been a great investment. I would recommend this to any beginner or peer looking to improve the quality of the sounds that come from their instrument.
