This hose clamp set is perfect. You have pliers for just about any situation you'll run into. Get into those tight spots. Very easy to use and they work great. Great price

I just finished a bunch of work on my regular commuter work truck. I have no skinned knuckles thanks to this “BETOOLL 5pcs Wire Long Reach Hose Clamp Pliers Set Fuel Oil Water Hose Auto Tools” set. I reached for it a few times during the top end rebuild. Would I use it everyday – no. Do I need it sometimes, and is it worth the toolbox space – definitely – yes.Plus, I like having cool tools.A great value, after one use.

They do the job, work well and are comfortable to use. I don't think they are built for someone to use every day in an auto shop but I think they will outlive the average home mechanic working on his own cars. At under $30 they were worth every penny digging deep into a VW Passat. The case is a nice well made extra if you are the kind of person who keeps his tools organized.

If you use just one of these tools, it will probably be worth the price of the set. So far I've only successfully used the remote, cable-activated clamp pliers, and they accomplished what a pair of channel lock pliers could not do. In particularly contorted or constrained locations, you may find it helpful to have an assistant squeeze the handle while you align the tool jaws to the hose clamp. The remote clamp doesn't feel very sturdy, though it did the job I needed it to several times.The hose removal pliers seem like a great idea for separating smallish vacuum, fuel, and maybe heater hoses from their fittings, but did not work on the one stubborn vacuum hose I needed to remove. The problem was that the hose was right up against its fitting, as is usually the case. There was no way to slide the thick plier prongs between the fitting and the end of the hose to pry them apart.The item description said instructions were included for each type of pliers, but my set was missing them, perhaps just an oversight. Maybe I was just using the hose removal pliers wrong. I don't know what the other types of pliers are for, though I suppose I it would be obvious if my car had some different styles of clamps.
